Scariest Film Characters of All Time

Some credit has to go to the spiders from Arachnophobia. That movie literally gave me arachnophobia. I'd say that's pretty much mission accomplished.

But but but..............where is the little girl from the exorcist (Pazuzu/Reagan MacNeil) and the ring? :(

And where is Pinhead and a 1/4 of his minions that shit was scary as a child :p
And Christian bale(American Psycho)
And Jigsaw(Saw)
And Jack Torrance(The Shining)

fair enough. but his children on the other hand...

As a parent of two children with valid driving licenses, I can categorically state that few things are as heart-stoppingly scary than having a kid borrow the car for the evening. You think any movie you have ever watched kept you up at night? I can guarantee that you WILL NOT be able to shut an eye until child and vehicle are both safely home.

Sorry for off topic.

I read the book IT first and then watched the series. The series was utter tripe and not scary at all compared to the book. The book was awesome and had so much more than the series. I realize fully by now that movies/series cant convey 100% what the book gave us, but they just scooped a tiny bit of off what made the book great, including the main story line!

Leather face was such an awesome character.

But really penny wise the dancing clown isn't on that list pffft.

Pennywise can't be there because the list is for film characters. IT (where Pennywise is from) was a TV mini-series.

I read the book as a child :p I just dig tim as pennywise.

But hold on, what's this talk about mini series? There was a movie called IT, right?

Nope. Only a mini-series. Two episodes, total running time of 192min.

It on IMDB
It on wikipedia

The reason everybody thinks it was a movie first is because I think it got cut into a single, 3 hour movie for the local video release. I think it was also released on video in SA before it was shown on TV, so people think it was a movie that was cut into a mini-series for TV.

Yah, sure, he is as they say, was born for the role.

I saw this while searching around, IT, looks like they are attempting to make a movie, but there is hardly any detail and there is mention of part two at the bottom. Story sounds the same too.

But back on track, the girl from The Grudge, damn she is scary, same too for The Ring. Although not human, the alien from the Aliens movie series...man, being caught in the dark (or even daylight) would be not too nice....
