The update was a patch.

China Rising is about 4.5GB.

Did you preorder the Digital Deluxe version of BF4? If so, go to Origin and right click on the game - then select Check Updates.

It should hopefully begin downloading.

i am now having an issue where the sound goes away for a short while and then comes back.... *sigh*

i cant wait to play CR tonight, i had to leave mine to update overnight

Anyone have an issue after getting revived? You have the accept/decline screen permanently on, and lose the minimap and HUD and everything.

So when is Premium going to be on sale again? I want to buy this, but don't feel like spending another R500 on this..

So I'm getting the flickering in my game. EA/Dice can go suck balls. Glad i didn't buy premium as I won't I'm happy with the base maps and to be honest I don't really like China rising. I feel this is going the same route as battlefield 3 where we will end up playing the vanilla maps more than any other expansion maps

Are you running SLI or XFire?

That is a known issue will dual gpu configurations. All you would need to do is run single gpu until they've rectified the issue.

I know it's to due with SLI/Xfire. I have 2xr9-280x. The fact is that now all of the sudden they test things when clearly they don't cause how can a bug like this get past testing. Everytone with crossfire and sli is getting this issue so there is no excuse but yeah i won't support EA/Dice ever again.

Uhm for 2560x1440 @ 96HZ ultra I can do 96FPS all the time using both cards but on 1 card can only do 70-90fps and I want to play ultra. I won't accept playing lower than ultra as this is why a bought 2x r9-280x

Dude, I totally agree with you. I'm in the exact same boat with my SLi setup. But I've been seeing a stable trend over the years and that is that SLi / XFire users are always pulling at the short end of the stick. There's always some "issue" with SLI/XFIRE setups that users with single-card setups never have. Maybe it's time to abandon the whole dual-GPU scene? We are spending twice the $$$ but also end up with twice the trouble. And as much as we'd like to believe it, we do NOT end up with twice the performance.

Yeah I kinda saw that happening. 10 years ago. Whyyy? It's overkill anyway and just not worth the trouble.

Not when you play at 1440p+.

Triple monitor setups running 5700x1920 need that kind of GPU horsepower.

It's just an issue with BF4 that guys are experiencing this. Saw a tweet from one of the devs stating they've implemented a fix and are testing it inhouse before releasing it.

Looking forward to playing some tonight. I need to see tank wreckage, pilots unable to bale out in time, boats, yeah, definitely boats burning as they gently sink beneath the water line...boats are my pet peeve atm, almost as much as you recon tent pitching pansies. :D :p

As the ABC Warrior best said it in Judge Dredd...WAARRRRR....

(PS. I liked the first Judge Dredd movie with Stallone more than the last Dredd.)

Well, miraculously I'm able to play on 2560x1440 res with most things set to "High" on a Single GTX580. That's actually flippen impressive if you ask me. So even though it fixes the huge flickering issue, there are STILL some far-off textures that flicker. But, that might actually be a driver problem and not on EA/DICE's side.
