In my oorspronklike pos (hier) het ek verwys na 'n "tread killer", nie 'n "thread killer" nie.

Die loopvlak van 'n band word die "tread" genoem. Daarom is skerp ding in die pad 'n "tread killer" want hy fok (<- spelling, nè) jou loopvlak op. Dis 'n woordspeling met "thread killer".
Kon dalk ook so gemaak het:

Bread killer.
