New Computer Build

I've decided to build my new computer. It's going to be used for gaming as well as some video editing and design work like 3D design.

I'm quite happy with the build, I was just wondering if you guys had any feedback about it or if I should change certain components. I also want to make this build last quite a while, so hopefully it's relatively "future-proof".


The Build:
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
  • Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
  • Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (I'm not sure if I should get 1866 or 2400 Memory, I understand that it's just faster)
  • SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
  • Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
  • Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Super Clocked Graphics Card
  • Power Supply: Corsair Gaming 800W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
  • Case: Cooler Master CM 690 III Mid-Tower
  • CD/DVD Drive: Asus DRW-24B5ST 24X DVD-RW

Hopefully there's nothing major I've messed up on, just go easy on me please as this is my first time attempting to build a computer. I must say choosing a case was probably the hardest part!
 
With this build I don't think I can afford any more ram right now :D but it's 4gb sticks so I can always save up and get a couple more later on.

Seriously. Get at least 1 8GB stick or 2 x 8GB sticks. Can get 16GB of G.Skill Ripjaws for R1899 @ Wootware at the moment

Only had a look at the top of your post now (excluding the specs)
3D work design requires a lot of compiling and will require RAM, it will eat 8GB's and ask for more specially when you start to get into heavy amounts of detail and compiling.

I would leave the CPU cooler then and get more ram and then just save up for a cooler later or use the one you already have. If you don't overclock then the stock cooler should be fine for now, but that's my opinion
 
Okay, from your suggestions I think I should leave out the CPU cooler for now and get 16gb of RAM :) and would 1866 RAM be fast enough? Thanks for the advice everyone.
 
If you can get some of the final build at least that will be awesome.

Agreed, I even took 2 pics when I swopped my 560ti for a 760. I also have some here somewhere when I bought my corsair 400R and rebuilt my pc in there.

The case is nice and quiet. It has a humongous fan in the front and it looks pretty cool
