VG248QE, why so expensive in RSA?

- Weak rand value $1 = R10.81
- SARS (import tax)
- Import/shipping fees
- Mark up
- Inusrance
- Lack of market in RSA (probably cost less if ordered in bulk)

Yeah weak rand makes it go 2x to 3x times.

You see... I did a approximate conversion already there in the OP. Even with RSA-SHIT-ADDED how can you defend 2x to 3x to the price?

I'm no reseller, just stating the factors that make the price climb. :p
Would like to see which point takes the biggest chunk of the SA price. Joker?

Just looking around the other day, monitors seem to be one of the areas where we get heavily shafted on. Some of the price differences between the US and us are insane. I feel you man, I really envy the US guys with their Newegg and Amazon sales. Hell, even their standard prices are way better than anything we could get here.

One of the reasons I want to move to Canada someday. PC parts are so much cheaper over there there in the Northern Hemisphere.

I thought I was the only South African who loved the sound of Canada :D
