The reason for the comps is not only to reward regular posters, they are here to attract new users. Although spamming is irritating, it will quickly get sorted out when it shows up. There are plenty of regular members that initially joined because they saw a comp and thought "Cool, all I have to do is join this forum and post a bit". Then they posted and thought: "Hey, this community is quite cool!". The worst that can happen is that some new guy/girl wins the comp (and they will have to work really hard to do that with this one). Chances are they will stick around because they just got a free PS4 and games just by being an active forum member. Now they probably enjoy being part of the MyGaming community. Then you have another active community member that's happy to be here and contributes positively to the forum (unless they post in TK - jk ;) )

Ya look, there will be a week of heavy spam, but we'll end up with some new members afterwards, and someone gets a PS4 in the deal, which is awesome
 
does anybody ever feel deja vu when big competitions get announced as in this thread i see posts which feel exactly like the last competition thread

this competition is so awesome...Sony is my brand and Playstation is my Console...i have owned all...good luck to everyone and i really hope i win and then add the ps4 to my console list.
 
lol you guys can be funny. But James why don't you set min activity points instead of the top 25. Should help reduce the spam. i think.
