Gamer Confessions..

I prefer to play games alone. If I wanted to play games with somebody, I would probably invite a friend over and play couch co-op. Not too fond of playing games with other people in the first place.

I used to be like this. Until I met my gaming clan online. Made playing Co-op games so much fun. And I got to meet awesome new people.

If it has any reference as to any EA or origin I automatically hate it.no matter what it is. I will always and forever more think they are a company that makes games just so you can be happy for a short period, they never make a game that leaves you wanting more.other game companies sometime s makes games so good that it leaves you wanting more.

I am willing to play any multiplayer game that gives me a sense of accomplishment or progression. I flipping hate competitive gaming in the sense that most games are team based. Generally its extremely hard to find a team where all the players are on the same page. I.e. dedicated to putting in the long hours of practice or learning.

Hmmm...a clan sounds like a pretty big commitment. What if you only feel like playing online once a month?

Then you join OAP. We pride ourselves on never winning and playing drunk as often as possible :P We have plenty International buds (JET's mostly) who can basically never play the same time as us.

There are multiple clans that are similar, search and you shall find - they spend more time talking crap while playing SP/MP than anything else. If anything a clan of this nature will warm you up to the idea of routine online gaming.

I have no idea what you just said.

Then you do just that. Each member has their own "game time" and are online on random times.

But then you got weekly community events like Gears of War Wednesdays which El33tOnline hosted. We all got together and played.

And then there's the big stuff like tournaments (and clan friendlies against other clans) where all is asked to get together. The clan is big enough so if you won't be able to make it, another member can jump in.

So there is no real 'commitment' per se.

I'll rephrase:

You should consider joining a clan to the likes of our established clan, namely OAP. We celebrate loss more than a winning success due to the fact that we play for fun and often delve into alcoholic support to keep the fun level at a high, I myself haven't indulged in this method yet but prosper in the lack of motor-function my clan mates posses at those times. We have a few friends who reside in Japan and Korea who're often unable to join in on our gaming hours due to the time-gap between us, however they remain a part of our group as we spend more time conversing and discussing life and games than anything else.

OAP as in Zombie Dread's OAP?

That one yes. http://zombiegamer.co.za

Oh okay cool, that makes much more sense. The acronyms threw me there. I'll Google OAP, see what comes back.

You guys recruiting or something? Nice bunch, especially when playing drunken Battlefield. I missed too many of those nights sadly.

Nah, we're basically always open to new members, but the guys only accept people they've actually gamed with. I was primarily using them as an example of how certain fun clans can be a welcome introduction to Multiplayer gaming.

Have you spotted bokka around here yet? He's also on this forum now

Not as of yet, I know a few frequent SAGamer and the MyBB forums as the 360 forum withers, would be glad if more came over here. They'll be quality additions :D

I think Valve is totally, completely and utterly overrated.
I hate Gears of War
My most played game of 2013 is an Iphone farm sim.
I PMed Wyvern to give me her free Sims 3 codes

:(

I hate you for hating Gears

Im addicted to racing games (except NFS THE RUN which is worse then poo on a stick)
If i like a game i always try to get all the games in that series eg, all the halo's even on different platforms (generations)
im not a fan of digital distribution even though i have quite a few digitally purchased games, i still prefer hard copies
I have had a street fighter game on every platform i have ever owned, from the nes right up to my current platforms
I hate Uplay more than games for Windows
I have an addiction to the arrow game in wii sports resort
I have almost all the dead or alive games (kasumi )
i still play on my ps1 occasionally as i feel older games were made more passionately
the best console I have ever owned was my dreamcast
i've been playing mass effect 1 for almost 5 years now and i still havent finished the game.
I prefer infinity ward cod games over treyarch

I find myself nodding to a few of the ones already listed in this thread.

I haven't ever owned a console, although I have played games on a variety of consoles owned by friends in the past.
I didn't like Steam and other digital distribution websites for years and didn't use them, but recently that has changed after I've been ripped off too many times when buying physical copies in-store.
I prefer older games to newer games most of the time, one of the reasons being because they run well on my ancient PC.
The last new game I bought was probably XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Sometimes I would rather do anything than play games, like watch TV, listen to music, or even go outside. Or even work.
To me, DNF was at least a half decent game.
The same could be said for Doom 3.
I don't really like Deus Ex that much, even though I played it over and over again years ago. I likely wouldn't touch it today.
I wouldn't touch Morrowind today either, to be honest, even though I played the hell out of it years ago. Bloody Cliff Racers...
I played Diablo II for a month or two and then didn't ever pick it up again.
I've played Fallout: New Vegas many times with different characters and yet haven't ever finished it.
I haven't ever played a Final Fantasy game.
I played one Mario game years ago and didn't like it. I haven't played another since.
I haven't gone to a LAN of any sort in over a decade.
I haven't ever played a multiplayer game online.
I haven't ever been to rAge, and likely never will. I live in Cape Town. :(
As of this year I've stopped buying NAG, after having done so for nearly 15 years. In my opinion it became rubbish years ago.

Those are the ones I can think of right now.

Hey I agree about the nag they shit the bed years ago I stopped buying it when they gave Metal Gear Solid 3 69.

I don't really enjoy the Fallout 3 games, I preferred fallout 2. I played 3 got pretty far until I came across a bug that made me skip half the main story, and never finished the game. Started New Vegas, pretty much got past the intro, walked outside, killed one monster and quit. Looked far to much like the original (3) and didn't feel like wondering around a brown waste land again. And I hate all the intros to Bethesda games, I just want to start the game.
