I'm not phased by that thread, I just say things that are on my mind which I choose ton share, there. I figured that was a good use for it. Sometimes there's a decent topic being flung around, more often than not it gets lost in the crap though.

I know from having reported spam that you guys don't pm a forumite that action has been taken, I assume since the action is evidence enough. Would you be able to reply to report where action had not been taken, if only to assure the forumite that their report didn't get lost in the ether or fall on deaf ears? Or would this increase your workload too much?
 
The TK isn't really a post-padding place, though. It is basically just a conversation thread that is meant for talk not related to specific topics that are covered elsewhere on the forum. There is a point to that thread, it isn't just a bunch of people going "lol" and "+1" the whole time.

People ask questions, talk about cool stuff they've seen, and other topics which are meaningful enough to pass as internet conversation.

As far as newbies go, I do think that perhaps sometimes they are treated harshly by the more "established" (can I even say that?) members, myself included, but we all were n00bs here once, too. I've kind of stopped paying attention to stuff that really did grind my gears a few months ago, because making mistakes on the internet is pretty easy to do. I just report people that I really think push the boundaries or point out mistakes, but instead of bitching about it like I used to, I try to point them in the right direction. They have just as much rights to be on here than any of us and they serve as the lifeblood of MyGaming by means of internet traffic.

Basically, if you ignore the small stuff, you're going to have a good time.

Quite old bean. Don't forget we've been shoulders to cry on, marriage counselors, relationship counselors, wedding planners, legal advisors and much more.

We read and look into every single reported post. Explaining a decision on every single reported post is too much time consuming and pointless admin.

Indeed. Just right now, we explained to a Vrystaat boitjie how the park-'n-ride to FNB stadium works.

And it is much appreciated, thanx.

I could have created a thread for my question, but I felt it was too trivial to warrant a thread of its own. So I posted in TK knowing that a few people there would have experience with park 'n ride and could answer my specific questions. The entire issue was sorted out within the space of a few posts, issue closed, while a thread would have gone on for days and possibly confusing me more with all the different opinions that would have been expressed there.
And that is why I think TK is a good idea and why I will always defend it, regardless of all the crap. Just remember, one guy's crap is another guy's gold.

Well, I meant more like a read report than an explanation. Thanks for the clarification.
 
I have even started making stupid posts like this one, just to see if it's possible to get into the Top 25...
