Nice to see that at least a few developers are working on it, though I think most will agree they shouldn't have used it in the first place. It's very concerning how many of them just don't seem to care about it, though. We may never be able to play some of those games again without "third party patches".

Nice find i own half of those games but now how would this be skipped by a patch or will the game by itself jsut not ask for activation anymore, or as soon as it does it will just skip right past it?

Great find.

Fallout 3 (None. GFWL CD key requirement removed by Steam. Instructions are available for downloading and archiving DLC purchased through GFWL.)

Does this mean that I'll be able to active my retail copy on Steam some time?

So will we need to crack games like Lost Planet? I still haven't played it but have it on disc. I sometimes think that Microsoft goes out of their way to alienate their customers.

Warner Bros

Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY (Steamworks)
Batman: Arkham City GOTY (Steamworks)
Gotham City Impostors (Steamworks)

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection

Doh! Does this mean you can activate the keys from the retail game on Steam now? I'm curious because I have the Collector's Edition and I'm wondering if I should've waited instead of buying it again through a Humble Bundle deal.

Then again I suppose I didn't lose out since the CE doesn't have Harley Quinn's Revenge and I basically paid less than what that DLC costs alone for the Humble Bundle, best of all I opted to give nothing to WB for opting to go with GFWL in the first place! :D

I think only if you have the Steam DRM version.

This is Microsofts official stance to PC gamers:

This.

Also they seem intent on maintaining that official stance as long as humanly possible

Yeah literally all my GFWL games i had to crack to play even when the servers were still up. Really was a kak service

Just so you guys know, the original Batman Arkham Asylum does not work the same as Arkham City. If you enter your Arkham Asylum GFWL CD key into STEAM it fails to recognise it - as far as I know, it's an ongoing issue and it's supposed to give you the collectors edition on STEAM.

However, with Arkham City, if you enter your GFWL CD key into STEAM, it gives you the collectors edition of the game on STEAM, no problems.

Luckily I bought them both on Steam to begin with, so I have no issues, aside from the fact that they're both now listed twice in my library, because they didn't bother to remove the old ones.

At least it adds to your "number of owned games" count in your Steam library ;)
