I just got my Steamgifts account suspended for a week cause some knob gave me the wrong code back when I started. The vote was for Painkiller: Recurring Evil and instead I got Painkiller: hell and damnation. So naturally I did not report it as it was a better game anyway.

FFS, how is it your problem if some dipstick sends you the wrong gift? How did he send it to you? Steamkey or direct gift or what?

It's probably because he marked it as received, but since Steamgifts can't find it in his library, they assume he re-gifted it, which is against the rules.

Cause I did not report it, marked it as received and left it at that, that is how its my problem.

Edit: At least its only for a week, if it was for more then I would complain like crazy, but for a week its not worth it. Only thing I think is odd is that its about an offence that happened last year and September. So either someone complained or they take really long to find people that don't use the gifts.

So do you know if the sender of painkiller also got punished? Since he sent the wrong gift, it would only make sense. And I guess a week isn't TOO bad. More and yeah, you could definately claim "ignorance", since you DID win, DID receive a gift, and it WAS called Painkiller :P

Yeah be careful, it's a "private" giveaway, not a group giveaway, meaning anyone with the link can enter :P

Yeah, I see that now. Is there any way to edit the giveaway or do I need to delete and recreate it? Do you guys get your entry points back if I do?
 
i have to admit, i have not been on Steamgifts in a long time. the lack of winning any public GA's and then having all the games going around the MyGaming group had me almost lose interest...
