Do you try and complete gaming achievements? How far do you go?

I played Tomb Raider to 99% missing only one thing from one of the challenges. As for achievments I try getting all the single player achievments for the games I play and the closest I have come is StarCraft 2, I'm missing only the Brutal difficulty achievements from WoL and actually a lot from HotS. So the closest I have come to 100% would have to be Darksiders 1. I'm missing only 3 achievements from there.

I think it is worth it, if they rated it that high, I have seen a few good games being rated badly. Now we just have to find someone that sells this game, any links maybe?
I ordered mine from Takealot, really good game if you like jrpg's. lots of grinding though a lot like Dragon Quest VIII

Acheivements are a lame ass waste of time grind. They are only worth it if it actually unlocks something in game or at the very least unlocks something you can use on your desktop or avatar, like a wallpaper or clothing etc.

I play for achievements on the xbox sometimes when board, but never on my steam account or origin account, it feels useless.

That's frankly the only thing I like about Uplay - The rewards and unlocks for achievements.

I think I only ever bothered with replaying games to get different endings (i.e. games like Silent Hill 2, Resident Evil, etc.). The last time I really remember being mental is with N with trying to get through all of the episodes.

With WoW MOP currently that I am playing I don't really care for achievements, I just see it as a bonus I get if lucky.

I actually just watch the alternate ending on youtube.

lol yeah we're lucky these days...when SH2 was around though I didn't have that luxury (still had dial-up).

With many games though I remember some of the puzzles at first too and thinking WTF? Luckily with most puzzles you could eventually figure them or in my case I'd get my gf to help (I think Riven had some of the most insane ones that I just had no clue on) and perhaps having things like youtube ruins a bit of that these days (sure, use it if you're really stuck or if you don't have the time to see the alternate endings, etc.) but sometimes I think games are just a little too easy to skip ahead on with these "cheats" which makes them less fun. I also only mention all of this because I've been cheating with some games recently because I just had no clue :( so I'm just as guilty.

Back then you could buy books with the puzzle answers(Walk trough). I remember this clearly as I stayed/grew up in smaller town but could regularly visit the city and get both the answer books as well as imported magazines with game cheat codes.

Sold said codes and answers in school for about R2 a code and and R5 a puzzle answer. Made enough to buy books for most of the games all my comic and even all tuck money thanx to this little enterprise. Good thing internet came out just after I left school not during. :D

Yeah I can also confess to using it in Limbo a few times.

I'm playing Braid right now, haven't used any thus far but things are starting to get real hard!

Dammit yeah I haven't re-played Limbo in quite a while. I'll admit...I cheated with the one puzzle (but just the one!). Good luck with Braid though...I remember it being a bit of a tough sucker but not really something I want to replay just yet (if ever). I guess some games just intimidate me too much (it was a beautiful experience though).

I also do that but after I do that I always feel so guilty, so I watch it late at night.

I once saved at a checkpoint where I had to make a decision that will effect the ending of the game, so I created multiple saves and just went back to that save to complete game with a alternative ending.
