What do you call university buildings = under what tipe would it fall, such as commercial?

If it's wholly or mainly used to for the purpose of producing income in the taxpayers trade then yes it's commercial. The res would not be commercial property though if I'm on the right train of thought.

isnt state controlled universities and university's of technology considered academic as eugene pointed out and private institutions like damelin CTI etc. commercial

Just out of curiosity, any of you know anything about property law and rentals?

I had a bad experience with my first flat and everywhere I looked I couldn't get any concrete answers to my questions.

Basically I am trying to classify the uni buildings we have done at work for the website - commercial we have office complexes, residential is obvious houses but no idea what to call the hostel and lecture halls that we have done for Stellenbosch.

True, I'm just not sure of the context though so I answered it based on what I thought was applicable.

Then I will go with Eugene's answer
