76 Xbox prototypes, but only One made it through

I really dont think the X-Box 1 is anything special from a design point of view...

Its a black rectangular box...

The PS4 is also not great though... Some of the fan made "concept" stuff that was flying around was really cool...
 
I still don't understand why it has to be that big, it doesn't even have the power supply in the box.

The X1 fits really well in my TV cabinet, so I'm not bothered, I don't look at the thing permanently and I love the way the xbox sign lights up, it looks clean and neat, no problems for me with the design, people should get over it
 
Would be nice to see how all of those 76's prototypes looked like.. I mean, how many variations can there be of a rectangular box?
 
Don't think the one they chose looks that bad, but it sure is big. The name they chose though I do not get.

It doesnt look bad, but the speak about it like its ground breaking stuff! and that it most certainly is not... The name I will never get... I think it would have been awesome to go with the 720... They could have marketed it as twice as good etc... and its got a nice ring to it... they would have needed a new name though after that coz, the 1440 sounds stupid...

I think at the end of the day they want to go the rout sony went and have X Box One, X Box Two, X Box Three, etc etc...
 
The name is there because they want you to use just input 1 on your tv for every thing. So everything runs through the Xbox hence the name Xbox One. Still a stupid name lol

Xbox720. Cause it's games will only come out in 720p :p

Yeah, they can explain it how ever they want it's still retarded. I have caught myself thinking about the original xbox when people say the xbox one, wait that game wasn't on the xbox 1? oh... the latest and 3rd xbox is what they are talking about, They went full retard on the name, never go full retard!
 
I like the simplicity of the design, it can have some improvement but not needed as long as it works :p.

To me it looks like a normal vcr, or a brick nothing special. The kinect looks very pretty though as well as the controller, I would just maybe change the console it self

I guess the slim should be smaller and more simpler.. but then again, alotta years still to go before we see that.
Wonder if it will also consists of multiple prototypes before they actually decide on one
