I lisn to dubstep but it's not my main poison, i love trance music

I enjoy some metal but I mostly listen to industrial and EBM. Check out Covenant, KMFDM, Front 242 and NIN for some good examples.

So any trance addicts in the house? And I don't mean this:

I mean proper banging and uplifting trance north of 138BPM, something like this for example.

The only Kpop i know is Gungnam style... If that's even right.

I maintain that there are too many genres of music.

Da fuq? :wtf: I actually know far more than you think about trance as it is pretty much the only genre I listen to and I've been listening to it since the early days when tracks like Binary Finary - 1998 was tearing up clubs!

What Armin plays these days is the best of (modern) trance & progressive and I'm afraid that shite is just too slow for my liking. He tried to speed things up for his Who's afraid of 138 segment at ASOT 600 yet he had to resort to playing old tracks of his like his remix of Viola because he obviously hasn't made anything faster than ~120 in a long time.

Don't get me wrong it's still considered trance as it focuses on melodic breakdowns and longer transitions but it can't hold a candle to the trance of old! Speaking of which do you even recognise any of these tracks?

Plastic Boy - Silver Bath
Energy 52 - Café Del Mar
Gouryella - Gouryella
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster
Chicane - Saltwater
Paul Van Dyk - For an Angel
Tiësto - Traffic
Nu NRG - Dreamland
Rank 1 - Airwave
The Quest - C-Sharp

Anyway I should've prefaced my post in saying I don't like this modern slowed down trance as I much prefer classic trance and some of the underground uplifting trance like in example I posted above.

Artists that I closely follow are Darren Porter, Ferry Tayle, Sean Tyas, Touchstone, John O'Callaghan and tranzLift whose track called Iris I will leave here to close off this post. ;)

If i may ask how old are you :) i'm 35 in March

Paul van Dyke used to be my Fav dj back when i was in school along with Paul Oakenfold, and Chicane i have their new Cd actually :D

For me Tiësto's Kaleidoscope and Kaleidoscope Remixed were some of his best work

I like John O'Callaghan and Tydi as well, But have you heard of Andy Blueman i think you would like that
