Dead Rising 3 gets 13 GB patch

Holy hell bananas, I only get 7GB a month.

What do you guy's think about patches this big? good thing or bad thing
 
Ok we are not going to be able to download that in south africa, maybe in a few days. Do you have to download the patch for the game to continue, (to play)
 
That would take me at least 13 hours. I'd likely download it during off peak hours, so that would be spread over 2 or 3 days.

I say developers should release their games in a more finished state so they don't have to bring out these mega patches.

Big dlc releasing soon I believe and they suspect Capcom have included it in the patch so that players that purchase it have access to it with no download needed.

Well that makes some sense as to why the patch is so big but it really is worrying that it's so large. I can understand though that with the extra textures and other game data that's needed for the new consoles that things can get huge. But it's going to be tough on some of us.

They should let the dlc be an extra download in my opinion.

Yeah I agree. SA is not really ready for game updates of sizes like these.
