Does Shadow of Mordor look a little too familiar?

It does look very AC in places, but wow it looks like an awesome game as well!

Uggh, if this is anything like AC (Or lives up to what the vid showed) then it's a pass for me. I don't remember reading about any rooftop running assassins in the books or seeing Ezio making make a cameo in the movies.

Exactly! He looks so out of place. Its doesn't feel like Middle Earth to me.

I'm not affected by this. I personally enjoy the AC series and control dynamics. If these conviction pull through enough will change to make it unique in itself.

Having played War in the North, this is the kind of LotR game I've been hoping for. Besides BFME2, nothing has been impressive from this series' games.

The 1st thing i thought when watching the video was... damn this looks like AC. I'm an AC fan so I'll definitely try and get this game.

Hell I agree nothing wrong with asscreed games the only thing is Ihope they redo the animation system for the next game that's were alot of non fans frustration comes from.I love asscreed [hmm that sounds weird] for the history.

Sure some elements look very familiar to Assassin's Creed but then again the combat also looks like it has something taken from the newest Batman games and these elements can only be good for it in my opinion.

In the end though this is the first time that I'm watching anything about this Shadow of Mordor game (or actually even reading anything about it) and I have to say that it looks absolutely spectacular!

This could be a great chance for me to break out my AC shell so it has my attention, but its such a copy of AC it's scary.

Perhaps...but I think it'll be good anyway (to be completely honest I wasn't quite as blown away by AC4: Black Flag as others were plus I didn't enjoy AC3 or Revelations - maybe I just love AC2 and AC Brotherhood too much with their challenging puzzles at least) and hopefully something a little different (she sure looks different enough to warrant a new game that hopefully moves away from what I've felt has become too much of a casual affair with the AC games).

Plus I've always had a love for LotR so this could prove fun without being an AC clone

I loved the battle for middle earth games. Lotr is an awesome fantasy. Though I wish they would make another game from the wheel of time books :(
