I strongly doubt a Free to Play game like this will ever get local servers. Would be really nice, though.
 
Imo I don't think it needs local servers. Just played a few rounds with 100-110ms ping and it was perfectly playable (especially with it being a twitch shooter). I managed to devastate the other team with my modded rocket launcher - laser guidance for the win!

Pros so far:
Runs like a dream
Netcode is utter brilliance (100ms to Europe!)
Weapons feel powerful and even from the start you've got a fair bit of customisation.
I love the fact that you can test out your weapon before committing to a customisation
Took me under a minute to find a game - and even if it took the estimated 2min wait you can mess around in the other customisation screens while you wait.

Cons:
Had one crash in my first match - but thereafter no problems at all
 
does this game support the use of an xbox controller ? I am unable to play games with a mouse and keyboard anymore :-( too used to the ease of use of an ergonomic controller, despite the cost of lack of precision.

so who here has had a chance to play i gave up by Sunday night waiting and waiting but nothing ever happens i wonder if a bunch of the my gaming guys get together and create parties if we can play together and against each other
 
Played one match earlier, it's actually quite fun and the netcode is surprisingly solid, even hitscan weapons work perfectly fine.
 
Just downloaded it last night so haven't had a chance to play yet... looks really fun though, looking forward to giving it a bash soon. Anyone who has it care to tell what kind of game modes there are? TDM CTF etc?
 
I tried it last night and found it too twitchy :(

It might be the fact that I'm using a controller and others using mouse keyboard combo? But I just cannot use the awkward keyboard for moving around. Too used to analogue stick

Blitz: You have to capture a control point.
Death Snatch: It's like team deathmatch but you have to pick up the Blutonium vials your opponent drops for the kill to count.
Extractor: A random team member is assigned who has to collect Blutonium scattered around the level and take it to a grinder.
Jackhammer: It's like CTF, but the Flag is a very powerful melee weapon.

You're going to get wrecked if you play with a controller, most people on PC are going to be jamming with a mouse and keyboard.

How the heck do u pickup the crystals? And where is the grinder? I played that mode last night but just gave up the mode objectives and tried desperately to kill and stay alive

Thanks, seems quite interesting but I will probably end up playing whatever is most active... are the servers mode-specific or do they rotate through all or are both available?

You can only pick them up if you are designated as the collector, otherwise your job is to protect your collector or kill the opponents' collector. You use the "use" key top pick up the blutonium, and once you do, there will be indicators that show you where to take it.
