Dota 2

Because of you men have abandoned the cause of support...I blame the 5 carry epidemic on you

Neah ranked matches you still get people playing support xD

in fact I love playing support more than carry.

Its the normal pub matches where everyone wants to be a carry.

this game is annoying. every time i win my team was op and every time i lose their team was op and i never know if i'm doing anything wrong.

Play a hard bot game, the game usually picks a nice balanced team on either end with your bot teammates being heroes that synergise well with the hero that you've picked. If you lose the game you're doing something wrong, if you win then you're doing it right.

OR

It depends what your role is in the game, but be an initiator if you really wanna know if you're useful to your team or not.

Bra I've seen ranked games where they have no "5" players. Just 3 "3's", 1 "2" , and Jungler :p .

I can play support quite well but I have too much bloodlust to continually play that role.

Rhasta used hex (lion) Rhasta used hex (Rhasta)

Roshan absorbed the spells :/

Why don't people play Ability draft?? :/ Was looking to play some and the wait time was 7+ minutes dafaq?

Also how is the Pheonix dude? Played him in bot games and he seemed alright mid I don't know how he'll do in a normal game and how do you actually build him?

He is fun but a bit hard for a support I tend to try and focus on a support build like mek to get the most hp regen as possible he need regen early as most suck up his health heavy early on

I am not keen on the ability draft, some hero's are just so super op with certain combinations, it makes it no fun to play.
I played him a little earlier tonight, he is a fantastic mid hero, and works very well with hero's like Clockwork and Enigma, pretty much any hero that can trap a group of hero's for a couple of seconds.

there's a phoenix in dota 2??

Yip he was added recently

My standard build for him:

Urn of shadows
Tranquil Boots
Shiva's Guard
Heart or Radiance

He is heavily team focused though, so if you have a team that can initiate, you can swoop in, ulti during the battle and finish them with your beam. Works incredibly well.

Problem is that he's a heavily level dependent hero. If you can shut him down on the early game he has no real comeback ability.

Well yeah but again it really depends on the team, he works well for a mid hero and you can play him semi carry.
Really depends on the situation.

Had a game earlier with a clockwork and we worked well together, as in the mid (Sniper) called gg after 12 minutes because we kept targeting him. The rest was really a formality.

He is a great addition to the game.

Great addition but TBH doesn't fit my ideal controller hero. For his uses I prefer a Mag or an Enigma

Volov! Gief now and take all my money

I like phoenix, but I would honestly play him as a support primarily. His skill set is very useful but the snag of his skills being health dependent make me doubt his usefulness in the mid lane and the question of his rune control (which would be crucial to his lane presence).
Then there's the question of how much he can influence the other lanes as opposed to other mids like Puck, QoP, Storm, Mag. I love him as a support but I don't think he makes a great mid, maybe it's a situational thing, I guess I have to try him mid to see how he is.

I prefer him in the 4 position as well. He needs some health regen items to keep him alive long enough to die at the right time. Mech (headress especially) is great for him and tranquil boots works really well. Later in the game a heart will be needed too so yeah.

i still need to play him but i can see him making an awesome mid rune control just dive at the run sorted nobody will outrun that plus his skill set jsut screams mid to me he can do tons of damage without even going near the other guy

My problem with his skills is that they depend on health, so spamming can get you in trouble and the difference between his mobility skill and other mids that have mobility like Puck, QoP, Mag, etc, is that they are somewhat invulnerable during usage of these skills (barring situational disables like Ice Path), but Phoenix isn't. His mid presence generally worries, but as a support... holy jizzballs!!!

I still have to try him support even though I'm a awful support and will probably feed :p

Did anyone manage to get a decent score in the beast battle? Couldn't really play yesterday because I had classes all day and had to study for a test. I hate it when companies do their events in the week :/
