Another suggestion: how about an "OP" icon next to a thread creator's name when they reply in a thread they created? I find it handy on other forums when I want to address the OP specifically in a multi-page thread but I've forgotten who said person is :) Simply a little circle or square with the letters "OP" in it will do just fine.
 
You mean, to like point you to the specific page which the Thread Creator started out with the question?
 
I have a suggestion...

Ok go with me on this one... We decrease the amount of spam by closing threads that become inactive say after about 1-2 weeks and should someone start another thread but of the same topic then all that happens is the Mods get notified and the new info gets moved over to the thread which has been closed down and re-opened... i reackon it would help alot with the current spam problem. :D

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this :) It would be easier to spot active threads and for ppl to post of them. Another suggestion is for any new members of the MG family to be asked to introduce themselves, via the relevant forum :D

Yeh i think they are workin on that part but i also think the Introduce urself has been made a sticky thread :)
 
I didn't even notice it to be honest with you, i was arbing around the forums when I found it by accident :/

No. For example, should Tinman post in this thread now, next to his name in his latest post an "OP" badge would display, informing people that he is the OP.

Useful for long threads that are very topic-specific or when one needs to reply to the OP.

If you're still confused I can screenie it on another forum...
