Trade-in old gaming gear for discounts on new

All still seems kind of expensive to me compared to the competition. I've always found Incredible Connection's prices to be higher than most places. But it's a nice incentive.
 
Just trying to flog off the xbox's is all. Everyone is already at a discount, but they just add the whole play of give us, we give you.

I would rather sell my equipment on Carbonite and take the cash to another vendor.
 
In 2011 these deals were still worthwhile. I got R1000 off my 27 inch monitor for bringing in an old broken monitor. Sold my 22 inch for R1000 so effectively paid R1500 for a 27 inch :)
 
its cheaper to just go to another store and buy the things there, but you will still get your incredible corruption followers that will take these offers.
 
Saw an add in the paper this morning, you will actually score if you try and sell your old goods on gumtree or someplace else and add that money for new gear.

But yeah, some people will fall for this.

Besides, what will IC do with the old gear?

That doesn't cover the products that don't work. :D

I remember getting my first LCD monitor years ago with this deal. Brought in an old CRT monitor that I doubt even worked at the time. Got a new printer as well while I was at it. Doubt that worked either. :D

Looking at some of the sections like tablets, the screen must work and they must power on and off, and can't even be damaged. Awww. :(
