The Elder Scrolls Online Beta

Those who are already playing, what do you think of it? I've read two articles about it so far and both have been very negative, saying that it's boring.
 
So ive played this for a good couple of hours though.

When I first loaded the game, it crashed on the intro. When I finally got to my player creation screen, I sometimes had to wait up to 5 minutes for the next hairstyle or race to show up. The game also constantly lags out and freezes, but this is a stress test so it was to be expected.

In terms of graphics, it looks great. Slight improvement over Skyrim but I feel it'll be improved upon release.

The gameplay is actually really good. Your movement and attacking feels so much smoother and the inventory system has been greatly improved.

Wish I was able to upload some screenshots or footage.

I think it's a good MMO but I wouldn't go so far as to call it a good "game." I mean, it's interesting and stuff but it's not "2,000kr for a digital and physical collector's edition" interesting and so I've ended up cancelling my pre-orders... I'll either wait for it to become cheaper or I'll wait for it to go free-to-play (which seems inevitable).

There are loads of people in the game who are crazy about it but, for me, it feels like it's a little bland.

So... I'm passing on this one. I need the money for other things.

You're not the only one. Far too expensive for what it is. Now if they made it on par with their marketing video.....:)

30min sure stress test loading times.
 
I really wanted to play this but this whole monthly sub and then R400+ just to buy the game has put me off, then there are the reviews I've read and people really don't seem to impressed with it. I reckon it'll sell really well but as lycan says it'll eventually be f2p, Then I'll have a look at it.

It's sad to see the developer so blatantly cashing in on a well established and loved name in gaming, making this game nothing more than a cash cow. I really wanted to give this a try, as all the previews were amazing.
 
I actually just gave up on it. But then again I was one of a few who didn't like skyrim either. Lycan I'm with you I will pass on this completely. If anyone can get the client, pm me if you want my login deeds.
 
I see people are getting annoyed by the beta version,well thanks guys for testing it out anyways,don't forge to tell the devs the bugs in the game.
