I can tell you like Ghosts....Just from that comment.

The point of the PS4 is supposed to be "Next Gen", There are NO next gen titles available for it at the moment, so I do not see the point of buying one, Its pretty much a doorstop at the moment. No I am not saying its not worth owning one in the future, but right now I don't see the point.

Define "Next Gen" thought. Are you referring to any exclusive game for the PS4/Xbox? Or are you including PC in the mix? Based purely on hardware, PS4/Xbox are already "Previous Gen" then compared to what PC components are currently available, but it still becomes useless in terms of gaming when the games are made for the lowest common denominator. This of course is excluding the fact that console games are optimised a lot more for the predefined hardware.

It'd be pretty interesting what kinds of games we'd have if hypothetically every console had the same specs. as Jokers pc :p

Well techs speaking, think of it like this.

There has to be a reason for someone to buy a PS4, right now the only reason would be gaming...Yet there are no exclusives or any next gen titles available for it right now, so why buy one?

I get that some people game on consoles and they want the latest tech, I do the same with pc parts, but I have literally thousands of games to choose from on pc, where as on console you have 8 to choose from (Not the actual amount, just making a point)

I don't see the point in buying a console when there are no games available, I am happy for the early adopters, I hope they enjoy their consoles but personally I will not buy one right now, I will wait for the next revision of the console before looking at it.

I am one of the early adopters, planning on getting most of my games through PSN.

The only game I am actually going to play, is COD:Ghosts online. Until then I am stuck with that till more proper games are released.

But heaven forbid it differs to yours?

Why would someone buy the console now? Simple. To play that latest releases on the latest console. Very simple. No titles available? There are, and they are what you are playing on your PC. Except on a console. Next gen? Nope. Does it matter? Nope.

Buying the console now, for the games that are available now, is a personal opinion. It has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else. Why should anyone have to justify, or give an accountability for their purchase? Raging on someone for their choice is extremely childish.

And this whole COD kiddie rubbish, seriously now....

Let people enjoy their purchase. Without opposition.
 
As someone who actually owns a PS4 I find it rather funny to see all these negative threads regarding the console with comments like it's not worth it yet, its not really next gen etc. It seems that everybody who has something negative to say does not even own the console. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Those that say there are no next-gen games: go watch nba2k14 being played in person on a PS4 and tell me that's not next-gen. KZ is also pretty next-gen looking, although the gameplay is not really that next-gen.

Also, KZ Shadow Fall and Knack are both exclusives yet people keep saying there are no exclusives. And yes, both are worth playing. Resogun is another exclusive and while only a PSN game it is one of the best games available for PS4 at the moment.

I wouldnt mind getting it on credit, especially through fnb as its not like you end up paying 1 and a half times the cost...
 
These consoles are selling so fast its ridiculous... stock you see today will be gone by next weekend...
