Star Swarm Benchmark

Do you have the 780 Ti Gigabyte Windforce? Because I have that, and I got 29 ave fps, so the test isn't too consistent then.

I do have that but mine was running with a overclock bud. I was running 1195 Boost clock and 1900 Memory clock.
The benchmark is a bit iffy though.

Ah, that explains it :) I haven't tried to overclock yet, does it give you good results?

Yeah clocks really really well and stays very cool and quiet.
Really impressive card this.
Haha well it was until you sold it :D I'm really happy with it, my computer stays quiet whether I've just booted it or I'm busy playing Bioshock Infinite :)

Well yeah but the 2x 290 cards are gonna give me a lot more performance for a little extra cash, so I think its worth it.

Geez you guys have epic graphics cards, I'd be happy with a single 780ti/290 :p

I am fortunate enough to work along side awesome people like Rune (Owner of Rebeltech) so I get to play with the latest goodies and test them for myself. As for my personal cards, I think I spend a lot of time on my pc and seeing as I don't smoke or drink or buy anything else really I can spend that cash on my machine :D

Most definitely, that sounds like a fantastic setup. AMD is really great value for money and I like some of the new technologies they're bringing out. Unfortunately I've got to stay with Nvidia for now :p Not that I'm unhappy with them, just wish they were a little cheaper and that some features of the cards weren't limited.

That's the way to go! Don't pay sin tax and buy awesome tech! :D

uhmm not at the moment with the crypto mining frenzy all over the world!

I bought a R9 280X in December and in January it shot up by whopping R1,400!!! and the Dollar/Rand exchange rate doesn't help at all either!

Yip that said you can grab a awesome non reference R9 290 for R6750 and considering that it beats the 780 and is only slightly slower than the 290X and 780ti I think that's epically good value for money, Its able to max any game and costs quite a bit less than its bigger brother and the green thing from Nvidia lol

Yep saw that and it is great value for money getting a non reference 290 but unfortunately when a married man gets a limit to spend then that's it man! So as much as I wanted it I had to settle for the 280X lmao!

Got no complaints whatsoever about it cos I game on a 40" Bravia @ 1080p and can basically max out almost all games on ultra fiddling with lower AA setting and I'm very much happy with that!

280X is a more than capable card, actually its more than enough to play max @ 1080P.

Compared with Nvidia equivalent cards it is good value for money :)
