Riddle me this, Riddle me that!

Okay don't get your nickers in knots please.... Here ya go:

There are three bags. The first bag has two blue rocks. The second bag has two red rocks. The third bag has a blue and a red rock. All bags are labeled but all labels are wrong. You are allowed to open one bag, pick one rock at random, see its color and put it back into the bag, without seeing the color of the other rock.

How many such operations are necessary to correctly label the bags ?

This rings familiar. I have seen something similar somewhere before. Don't think it was in this thread, though.
Anyway, I won't answer unless nobody else gets it.

Bags 1 2 and 3.
Check bag 1. blue.
Check bag 2. If blue, check bag 2 again. if red check bag 3. (if checked twice and one of each colour, bag 2 is both, bag 1 is blue, bag 3 is red)
Check bag 3. If blue, check bag 3 again. if red check bag 3 again. (if checked twice and one of each colour, bag 3 is both, bag 1 is blue and bag 2 is red)

Yes, it does, and I think it may be because it's been posted here before:

There are three boxes. One box has only lemons. One box has only oranges. The last box is an equal mixture of lemons and oranges. All the boxes are labeled but all the labels are wrong. How can you, without looking or feeling around, reach into one box, pull out one fruit and based upon what you pulled out correct all the labels?

Only with oranges and lemons, not blue and red rocks, and the question is slightly different. So, I'll concede that it's different enough...

:D

Noooooo why would you do that! Now they'll search for the answer!

Take one out of the box labelled mixed. I'll call it bag 1.
Whatever you take out there will be all that's in there, so find the right label for bag 1.
Bag 2 now won't have a label, so take the label from bag 3 and put it on bag 2, then put the label from bag 1 on bag 3

Well done lordhi! Now go!!!

Ill Kick off this week.

Decapitate me and all becomes equal. Then truncate me and I become second. Cut me front and back and I become two less than I started.

What am I?

I guess we'll never know...

OK, let's try and get this thread up and running again.

At season change, I'm always here
and Christmas time, I'm most severe
anticipated every time,
I'm sure to sure to steal your every dime.
