Are you an online troll? You may have serious issues

I think this just confirms a lot of suspicions people already had :)

While I won't say it's true for all trolls, I think the more devoted ones are definitely fucked up in their brains.

Yip, I've always thought that...Most of the trolls love the misery/annoyance/hatred they cause...some get off on it.

I agree that there are various degrees of trolling, however, that article definitely confirms my own personal suspicions. I believe that a person's on and offline behaviour should parallel.

Luckily we don't have such big trolls here at MyGaming. At MyBroadband it's a different matter altogether. More often than not they get banned though.

I completely agree. I don't mean to offend any MyBroadband locals, but over the years I have found the MyGaming community (and admins in particular) to be far more judicious, receptive and light-hearted. I've tried to wrap my head around why someone would consciously channel so much energy into making others feel bad or excluded, and have thus far put it down to mental illness and low self-esteem (though I know many suffering from both who don't behave like asshats online.

You want to go to the site with the most trolls in it go to GTPLANET.I used to visit there site frequently but the insane levels of trolling just killed the site for me.

I have been through the darker parts of the webs so I have borne witness to the inherent mental disorders of trolls "whistling:

Youtube comments are the feeding ground of the internet for trolls. But trolls are essentially bullies, and they bully people generally because of problems in their lives. Not that all trolling is bad :p I'm sure we've all dabbled in the odd trollings or two.

It makes sense. Trolls attempt to manipulate people's emotions by posting provocative posts. There is definitely a high correlation to the manipulative tendencies of psychopaths.

The anonymity that the internet gives will bring out the true person who you are. On the internet, no one knows you are a douchebag, unless you tell them, and that's what trolls do. Luckily I haven't dealt too much with trolls so far (well except Malice ;)).
