Titanfall Beta Access Registration

Hmm, this is weird. Origin says I'm running at 577KB/s now, but my network monitor just says 160kB/s.

Makes me think their speed calcs are completely stuffed.

Not sure in your case but mine is absolutely flying, at this rate my dl will be finished in the next 2 hours.
Busy downloading Top Gear's new episode as well.

Much love for Business adsl <3

So I expect you to give some proper feedback once you have tried this out :)

Played this game the whole of Saturday and some of Sunday and its soooooo much fun! Seriously can't wait for the full release! The beta definitely secured my preorder in spite of 200ms which I was loathing.

hahaha, oops! sorry for my pic fail. thanks for sorting it out Eugene. i tried to link to the image on CAD, but it said it was too large. so then i saved the picture and linked it, but dunno why it then linked smaller than original image size :o

Some feedback:

The game looks pretty decent, nothing ground breaking in the graphics department but not bad either, plays smooth as butter on my rig with everything maxed although i did get a crash or 2, apparently the game doesn't like it when you use the highest graphical settings in the beta because they are locked at medium as far as I understand.

I did all the training, which was surprisingly short and well thought out, quick and easy little rounds. They could however have chained them together to make it go a little faster.

The game play, The bots are retarded. I dropped 16 of them in 2 minutes, I only got to kill 6 human pilots though, also took out a Titan.
Had my Titan up in less than 2 minutes and had it to the end of the game, only died once the entire round.

Latency wise, the game was fine...I was connected with a latency of 210ms and it played fine but then again like I said the bots are useless and the normal players I played against weren't very skilled or new to the game.

I think on a larger scale with no bots this game could be fucking brilliant but the whole 6v6 thing is slightly off putting to me.
Not entirely sure why they only have 6v6, could be that the X One can't handle more or that they want the game to be easy for new players. Hopefully this gets addressed in a patch or a sequel.

Over all I would say 7/10...I think it can be a lot of fun but I don't see the fun lasting for hours on end, its very much like cod, its short quick bursts of fun.

Would I buy it at launch...No personally I won't, I'd wait for it to go on sale.

Edit: Ok Latency def makes a difference when your playing on the larger maps, cqc it was pretty good but on the bigger maps when you play hardpoint (Domination) I can feel the difference when shooting at human players over longer distances, its not massive but its there and its enough for you to die 1st even if you engage 1st. Meh

Thanks exactly what i wanted to hear. I'll pass, I watched some streams on the weekend and also picked up the AI is pretty much useless, game looks like it can be fun for a month, but doubt it will keep me occupied for much longer than that! the 6v6 thing is a bit meh!

I completely agree about the AI being useless, the number of times I'd run into a room and see the bots sitting there waiting to be shot. At first the game seems full of action but after a while it's really easy to tell the difference between AI moving around and actual players - if this was 32vs32 on bigger maps and 16vs16 on the smaller ones it would be great.
