The Western Cape has "the best story to tell", premier Helen Zille said during her state-of-the-province address on Friday.

Addressing the provincial legislature in Cape Town, she said progress had been made over the past five years in realising the vision of an open opportunity society for all.

"I believe that this is the Western Cape story. And it really is the good story to tell," she said to jeers from the opposition benches.

Parliament really is a circus. This whole "anything goes" mentality is quite disturbing. Where's the discipline? Imagine carrying on like that back in school! Yet these are the people running our country.
 
To be honest I don't like any of these political parties. I know a man who needed to get injections for his cancer that he could get in jhb when he moved to cape town they refused to give him the stuff at the government hospital.

My school a few years back once had an outing to parliament, apparently the politicians are basically animals, shouting over and booing one-another. It doesn't give me much hope if our parliament cant control itself

Haha that sounds like it could he quite funny! I'd like to watch the Australian government if they're like that, sniper in tf2 has made me love Australian insults :D

Believe me, I know :) Regardless of where it takes place I don't think it should be the norm.
