South Park: The Stick of Truth censored in South Africa

No man, I'm against any form of censorship. Really, South Africans can handle anything, let alone people who will buy South Park. Lol

So the game is going to be censored, why?

The show isn't censored so it makes zero sense to me, why you would censor the game :wtf:

Because people tend to be idiots!

I'm really disappointed in this "marketing decision". Do they think people can't handle it? There's an age restriction is there not?

Yes age restrictions have worked so well at preventing kids from playing GTA when they are 12

Plus, 99% of the people who are going to be buying this game have watched the show.

They've already seen all the so called "censor worthy" bits.

Silly decision.

Who wants to take a guess at when the first reports of a granny seeing the cartoonish cover (and not flipping the box to check the age restriction) buys the game for her 9y/o grandson and then runs to the papers complaining about the vulgar content?

I'm going with 6 days

I'll patch it when it comes out. I'm sure there will be some patch to take away the censorship.

Plus, I don't see the reason to censor it. It already has a very high rating why go even further?

Probably the main reason why the censorship was done. Whilst I am vehemently against censorship; until a fully incorporated system is in place that will prevent the content from falling into the hands of malleable youth; then we shall be stuck with the stick of tru***(Offensive Content Removed)

I don't find the news that bad. Our film and publication board is at least not as up tight as the one in New Zealand and Australia. How long was Mortal Kombat banned there? Here we get the occasional censor, but at least we still get the game. I'm sure they have a pretty good reason for censoring these scenes.
