Age of Wonders 3 finally has a release date! 31st March 2014.


Preorders have opened for the game.

For those who don't know too much about the game it's a turn based strategy with an emphasis on powerful spells, that affect the game world and combat, and on tactical combat (the XCOM: Enemy Unknown). For more info check out the FAQ

Fans have been waiting a long time for this so let's hope it's worth it!
 
I somehow missed 1 & 2, but on the flip side this looks somewhat familiar?

Looks interesting in any case. Always been a fan of turn-based strategy.

Saw it on GOG earlier and wanted to just buy it there and then but decided to wait for some more info on the game. Iam3g its a wonderful game.

Like I said, I remember some similar magic/spell based turn-based strategy game from WAY back. But I was very young and still getting into my comfort zone of gaming.

Went to go Google Age of Wonders 1, looks like what is in my head, but I can't put my finger on it.

Hmm... I never played Age of Wonders 1 or 2 but I'm a sucker for turn based games, so this should be fun
 
This only popped up on my radar about two weeks ago, I think I'd seen the other two in passing, never gave it much thought before. However turn based strategy/grand strategy is my favourite genre and this looks very good so I think i'll be picking it up pretty soon.

All the info I've seen saw far is very promising but there's also that caution one has to have when thinking of pre-ordering. As much as I'm a fan of the series $40 is quite a bit of money for me to lay down. I do believe that it will be worth it though but hopefully there'll be some hands-on previews in the coming month.
 
I loved this game back in the day it almost has a Might and Magic feel to it actually still have the first 2 so can't wait for this one to come out :)
 
Am i the only one that thinks this looks terrible?

I initially thought it was a new age of empires, needless to say...

Yeah same loads of fans will soon let us know how it is.

Tom I have seen worst looking games and they have fun gameplay.
