spur burgers are insanely expensive and steers taste horrid. McD's are ok, but taste more processed than BK. Having said all that, I&J FGB patties are still way better than all the above, and a damn sight cheaper

Those things are disgusting. Fruit and veg have some damn nice pepper burgers nice and think with no fat at all.

Their burgers are so small its a joke paying the prices they ask.

LOL. Tight budget :p

And to answer your question, I AM A GIMBA! Its not all that filling, but it worked for that 2 weeks.

What is a Gimba?

Jirre, buy mince, add your own seasoning to it and voila, cheap patties. Add some bread soaked in milk to it, to bind it - otherwise you have patties falling apart on you.

Thats the way. Also chop up some bacon, onions and chillies and add to the mixture.

I do it with out the chillies :P But yes, you can add just about anything into the mince for flavour - its the best way to make your own patties and all kinds of seasoning works - I add loads of garlic, bacon, herbs, salt and pepper. top it off with some grilled onions and mushrooms and cheese :D

My delicious custom recipe (well, not really, I got it on MyBB last year):

-400g mince
-one packet of back bacon, chopped very finely
-bread crumbs that are roughly the equivalent of one slice of bread
-one egg
-one table spoon of worcestershire sauce
-one teaspoon chilli flakes
-one teaspoon cayenne pepper
-salt and pepper to taste

Mix everything together and you can make roughly 4 massive patties or a few more smaller ones. This recipe works best on a braai, though, because the grill clamping them together means they retain their shape instead of turning into balls. It's a winner. We make it often. Actually made it with friends a few weekends back and we all gorged ourselves like gluttons.

Wow, that Stunt guy is a real tosser. How many times must he be told to drop it before he actually gets the point? Is he looking to have the thread locked before he'll be satisfied?

This is why we can't have nice things. :(

That is why I did not post my views in that thread to prevent issues like that.

This is why I think people should just live their lives and stop telling other people how to live theirs.
