The SFB youtube channel (Scavenge Fight Build)

Crusader - I HATE the sound of my own voice :P But its all part of the fun, as for the sarcasm - do YOU REALLY want me to tone it down?

Soli - I don't have anything fancy - I just use my headset - Razer Carcharias (not the latest one) but I thought it works well enough? At the moment, Im still working out how to send my FRAPS to Pyro tho since he lives in the arse end of the world :P

No, it's just funny hearing the same thing said to Pyro like you said to me in dungeon defenders once. :D

Hahahahahah Crusader :P Trust me, that was the only big weapon that he had or can get really - most of the others are more reasonable . . . It just had to be mentioned :P

The ironic thing is that we had recorded that show 2 times :S Due to some technical difficulties we had to redo it, it was harder to make it sound fun the second time round - at least I was swearing less the second time round :P

I am hopefully gonna record the next couple of vids tonight - showing my all time fav starbound mods, and starting the journey to kill the bosses in the game (altho I have an epic weapon already) so killing most bosses are gonna be fun and easy

Hey GlacieredPyro. Sorry I hate giving negative feedback. I hope you didn't take offense.

Not at all. I can't improve if I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Don't hold back.

What mic's and sound recording equipment are you guys using? That could be a big part of why the talking is sometimes difficult to follow?

I'm using a turtle beach mic. It's more about my setup than my mic I think, but I am investigating it all. I'd like to get a nice desktop usb mic.
The newer videos should have a much higher sound quality.

How do you guys feel about hearing your own voices. I've made a few videos, mostly Caesar IV and hearing my voices makes me think its terrible.

EDIT: Also watched the starbound video with Wyv, I see she still makes sarcastic comments when a dude chooses a big sword. :p

Yup, she likes to heckle. Hearing your own voice is arb at first but when you get used to it, it helps a lot because you can start working on your tone and presentation which has a massive effect throughout your everyday interactions.

Ok cool. It just sounds a bit dull and then has a strange tinny zing at the end. Could be the sound encoding or something?

Hahaha Cronus - I am not the speaker this time round :P If it was me, there will be a language rating :P

Crab I use Fraps - GlacieredPyro is our vid editor/techie dude - I upload the vids to him and he does the rest :P (or I will as soon as I can get this starbound one done)

Doesnt a normal fraps video come out at like 30-50gigs ?

lol, almost said a bad word at 1:27 :p

Dat game was uber frustrating but mega fun. Link to the web version in the description of the vid. Go try.

Yea I hate hearing my own voice...

Wyvern, are you using Fraps ? what do you use to get the video size down to something useable?

Im looking at this > http://store.steampowered.com/app/269290/

its on sale on steam now and looks pretty good.

We use fraps, record at half size and 30fps.
1 hour of video comes to about ~25gig.

Then we do post production in Sony Vegas Pro 12 where I have set rendering presets for doing an HD render for youtube (so it wont have to process after upload) that yields between 1 and 1.3 gig for 20 minutes of produced video that gets uploaded. If you'd like more info feel free to PM me for specifics.

Very nice video! I'd just suggest, to the guy playing the game, to make sure not to try so hard that he forgets to talk! :D And also turn off the tumble-dryer in the background :p But apart from that very nice video!

Haha, dude I tried my darnest but on that first run my mouth just wouldn't work.
Also the tumble dryer is ambient noise in the game that I lowered because it's very overpowering when you add voice.

Nice music vid btw!

Ahh okay, didn't realise it was in game! :p

Haha thanks a ton! :wtf::love: That's a pretty old video actually, but I enjoyed making it :)
