Kalahari 30% Off One-day Sale

It's Fallout Vegas CE all over again. Why I don't preorder with them.

It's probably because of those vouchers, but yeah, I'm not a big fan of pre-ordering from them either after their courier messed up my HotS pre-order delivery.

My pre-order for Watch Dogs has been cancelled :(

They mentioned wowing you with their great service, I've only ever had acceptable levels of service from them once, and that was with this (apparently erroneous) purchase. All three of the other times I've had terrible service.

I can't believe they've cancelled the pre-orders. It was their mistake, shouldn't they absorb the loss?

@ Hiro - I placed the order on the 24th, I think the vouchers are still valid until tomorrow.

My order didn't include any preorders though. Just a textbook for the wife and a dvd series.

Maybe they just didn't expect people to find an opportunity to exploit multiple coupons, until now It was never a problem most likely

I think that's the case, I've had vouchers before that couldn't be used in conjunction with another voucher but it seems in this case they never expected people to know and use the 3 vouchers for Feb together.

Coding 101: Assumption is the mother of all fsckups

If we take one step backwards, all of this could have been a lot less severe if only one thing was implemented: no stacking and no buying of vouchers with vouchers and coupons.

I've been thinking about how to start avoiding this in future and secure your account:
1) Accounts must be linked to an ID number and one cell phone.
2) Each sale must be linked to an OTP sent to the cell phone which in turn must be linked against the cell and account.
3) If a voucher was used it must be linked against the OTP, Cell and Account.

Of course all of this needs to pass the acid test and not left up to assumption.

Their system should be able to prevent you from using a voucher to buy a voucher, from using multiple coupons/vouchers and from using them multiple times. It really shouldn't be too hard to implement, all other online stores do it.

Well, my copy of Uncharted 3 arrived today and I've received no communication yet that my R69 voucher has been cancelled. So good news from my side!
