Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII review

Pretty much the standard fare that I expected. Final Fantasy has yet to have a sequel with a better story than the original incarnation .Still seems like it was a step in the right direction (AKA away from XIII-2).

When is the pain gonna stop, someone must give Tetsuya Nomura a wake up slap.Thank God for Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn.

Im about to start XIII-2 and after that i will be playing this... Im a huge FF fan and thats why i will persist... The story's are great...

Hoping FF XV is gona be a return to the things of the past...

If nothing else it will be pretty :)

Ha ha! You make a good point... but there are a hell of a lot of games people just played because they looked good :p

I'm actually enjoying the story so far and I really do love Lightning as a character (She's not everyone's cup of tea), but the one thing that pisses me off and has actually stopped me from playing for a bit is the whole time management. If you don't rush in the beginning to save time you find yourself in the latter game with too much time. And the constant rushing in the beginning is an incredible turn off. I would have preferred the urgency of the world's predicament to be expressed in the missions' dialogue or in cutscenes, it really does make me made that cities become a blur because you constantly have the sprint button down :(

This is the main reason I've kinda stopped playing for a while. I don't like having to worry about the time remaining. It was annoying in Dead Rising and it's annoying in FF.

Facts. I got to day 8 and had finished the main quests and a bulk of the side quests (90% of all 3-star side quests). I couldn't be bothered to run around all over for the remaining copy/paste fetch quests, so I stayed at an inn to fast-forward time to the end. The time management system is an interesting feature, but I think it was poorly balanced.
