Playstation Plus Thread

I can't keep up with the amount of good games that are making an appearance on PS+. Remember Me, Devil May Cry, BioShock Infinite...and now a rumoured Tomb Raider?

First Bioshock Infinite and now Tomb Raider? Damn, this has been a brilliant start to the year for all PS+ subs. I have Tomb Raider and Brothers though, so no bonus for me there. I wonder what the game will be on PS4?

Hopefully nothing remotely scary xD I couldn't get through more than a few minutes of Outlast :o

I was actually disappointed with Outlast, the first 20mins were really great and filled with horror but then the game lost it right up until the last 20mins or so. The moment they started throwing inmates at you like confetti the game became predictable and a schlep in all honesty.

It's still the best horror game I've played since Amnesia, but that just goes to show how low the horror bar actually is :(

Totally agree.
I was expecting the game to be damn scary but when I finished it I was pretty disappointed. You can run through most of the game without anything happening. The hype from Youtube tricked me :(.

On the other hand I could barely manage 1 hour sessions when playing Silent Hill 2. That game was just to creepy.

Ooooh man, Silent Hill 2, now that was a fucking scary game. I was really young when I played it so that probably helped :p, but man it was scary as fuck and totally awesome! We need more horrors like that.

A horror game should have puzzle elements but should be so harsh in dealing out death to the player, it ruins the immersion (That breaker right in the beginning of Outlast). I truly believe there should be no monsters at all (Please tone down on all the guts and decapitated heads as well, they're not scary when spammed), the scariest monsters are the ones you come up with in your mind. It has to use darkness really well (Outlast did this perfectly actually) and you need to feel exposed and helpless (That moment you first emerge from that Asylum in Outlast). I also don't think hiding should be so prominent, it's too easy to hide in a closet or a corner and feel safe, true horror shouldn't be so easy to escape, you should feel mentally wrecked after an hour or so of play just trying to get to maintain your sanity.

That would be a perfect horror game! I wonder if any team, be it AAA or india, will ever have the balls to attempt something truly disturbing and fucking scary as shit.

Dead Nation looks like Resogun with zombies :D

Dead Nation was fantastic! I remember getting it as a free game all those years ago when Sony gave out free games after PSN was brought down for four months. Loved it so much I got the expansion day 1 :D

It's definitely one of the best co-op zombie experiences to date.

Damn all you guys that raved on about The Last of Us, I finally got around to playing this weekend, and damn you all to hell!!!!

You didn't like it?

I LOVE IT!!!

Problem is, it's one big emotional roller coaster, I almost cried when Joel lost Sarah (as a single father I can relate). The voice acting is superb, the game-play is amazing, the sense of rationing is done so well. Just overall, one damn fine experience. Really enjoying this.

Awesome game hey! I found it's a bit like the Walking Dead where it's not really about the zombies, they are just the situation and the random hazards, the real point of the story is about what's happened to the world and what people have become.

Precisely, so many games have this "survival" genre but none pull it off as eloquently as The Last of Us. You really get a sense of the battles that people struggle through, the fight for commodities between each other and that they so used to the infected that they are just part of life now.

This game is really outstanding, truly a work of art and hats off to NaughtyDog. I will definitely be getting the Left Behind DLC.

I bought the version that included the season pass, so I got the DLC when it came out. Going to play it as soon as I'm done with Black Flag

Still playing atm. I do alot of exploring so it last longer:) ... I hate those clickers

Also being a survival game, exploration is crucial so that you can find supplies.

Clickers do suck. At least they're blind, so if you're quiet and don't get too close, you can sneak past them, or sneak up to them and stick them with a shiv.

The bloaters really suck though

When will the new free games be loaded on the PS store? I still don't see anything.. :(

I dont see Dead Nation there yet
