Itch for TBSRPG

Writing 101: Acronym in heading is bad, but so is long titles..
So let's break it down.
I have an sudden itch that can only be scratched by turn based strategic role playing games.

The itch began when I recently finished XCOM Enemy Within.
Scratching the itch, I went and conquered the Aztecs in Expeditions: Conquistador. That worked.. mostly.
Now with Age of Wonders (AoW) 3 being so close to release (31 of March), the itch is back!

Can anyone recommend a good TBS-RPG for the sedating the itch before I can get the remedy in the form of AoW 3?
The catch: I can't spend too much on this sedation as I still need to provision for the remedy. < $9 would be sweet.

I had a look at blackguards, but that price tag! :(
Yes, I know - there's a bay that offers free products, but let's try this before we set sail. :)

Eador: Masters of the Broken World was amazing. A bit like a mish-mash between Heroes of Might and Magic and Civilization. It's $19.99, unfortunately, but well worth every dollar.

Shadow run Returns is $15 atm only one thats in that even close to that price tag unless you want to get a heroes might and magic 3.

Bought Xcom: Bureau thinga-ma-bob on Gamersgate for R80. Not sure if it has the turn based qualities of the standard Xcom games?

I actually got that on pre-purchase when it first came out.
Despite the negative reviews by critics, I find the game to be quite good. Especially the game play, it is rather unique.
It's a 3rd person, direct your team strategy action. Note the "strategy" is in front of the action part. Will let you explore the game :D

My steam library may not be as extensive as MetalSoup's, but I've played a fair share of TBS-RPG games :)

I was going to stay out of this thread, but I could somehow feel it calling me. Unfortunately I'm not really into any turn based games, so I probably can't give any good advice, sorry. :D

Have you played Frozen Synapse? That's pretty good, in my opinion.

Maybe also Warlock - Master of the Arcane?

Thanks for all the suggestions :)

Working that with the slim budget, it was time to consult the bundle deals - and I was in luck.
Picked up Realms of Arkania from the Fusion Bundle: http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/fusion-bundle/

Apparently the game is much better after half a year of patching. It's now called "Revised edition" lol.
Gonna give it a whirl to see if it'll do the job :D

On other note, if anyone is suffering from a similar symptom. The banner saga is on sale on steam:

I was just about to recommend the Banner Saga, it's on sale right now over at GOG. It's a really great game, it has some flaws, but at the price it is now, I highly recommend it.
