Diablo 3 Patch 2.0.1 finally here!

I do think difficulty affects the drop rate and to a certain extent gear as well. I got my DH up to 60 in no time playing on expert level. Still on soft core tho, I am not willing to die in hardcore

So my Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Demon Hunter and Wizard are all 60, my monk is 53 and will probably be 60 today. Pretty much ready for the expansion. Crusader will probably be my first 70. Also discovered that I really don't like the demon hunter too much.

Yeah drop rates i know, but i don't wanna farm each difficulty level to be able to move on to the next. I usually level on master which makes it a breeze to get to 60. Planning on getting the Monk and DH to 60 before the expac.

You can level fine on Master, I don't ever use the first three difficulties. Loot is universal though reavs only the drop rates change, but technically you kill things a LOT quicker on normal so you might have a higher drop turnover.

Oh and Wyv I downloaded TS finally!

Oh haaaaai finally! I will pm you the details now :D

Crafting is actually now a crap load of fun, so glad I bought a ton of crafting mats before AH closed :D
I've crafted all my monk gear and I actually didn't want to play monk because I felt it was crap compared to my barb...but now I spend more time on my monk lol :D

Yeah I am also done crafting for now...saving the rest for lvl70. I've got about 3k of each high lvl crafting mat so I should be good.

Haha 3k should be ok for a few crafts. I'm just curious to see if they will be adjusting all the plans to allow you to craft level 70 items, hope so.

Well the word is everything we have now will not help you in ROS, so I've farmed and sold most to make an extra bit of gold and be ready for ROS.

Just the last few days before the AH closed I made an extra 100mil so I feel ready.

and I quote from the link:

MATS - A level 61-70 item will be salvaged into either reusable parts(white item),arcane dust(blue item),vailed crystal(yellow item) and forgotten soul(legendary item).
If you read so far, this single fact should make you understand by now that ALL PRE ROS MATS will become useless as soon as ROS hits

From what I've read they will be, its the same with the current lvl 60 set items, they'll drop at lvl70 with lvl70 stats.
3k mats sounds like a lot but believe me when you want something with a socket you can go through it really quickly.

Most of the gear on my monk is self crafted...Just miss my gems which I sold before AH closed lol

I preferred not to use the AH, also have a few friends who made like 150 mil on AH before it closed. I've also heard rumours that set plans will scale with your level, but you will get better set plans as you progress in the game.

Enjoying my barb a ton, got a bit of a choice question for you D3 gurus:

I have an amulet that spams 310% weapon damage to mobs around me almost constantly but has no stats. I also have an amulet that adds 4% to my damage and life but no secondary damage.

Which should I use?

Right got my monk to 60 last night, so that makes it 5 for 5. Then messed around on my Witch Doctor and gained a handful of Paragon levels. Got 1 mil in the bank and should grab quite a few mats this weekend so I think I'm ready for the Xpack. Bring on the crusader!

Link to your toon bud, so we can see your other gear.
With all the loot changes its kinda difficult to decide without knowing what your running.

Man i was sceptical but i gave it a bash last night after not playing the game since the very 1st big patch after its launch. And im enjoying it a lot. Wish i had a bit more spare time to play. Very 1st item drop was a weapon better than the one that took me freakin forever to get when i played at launch.
