Multiplayer gaming for PS3

Are there any multiplayer games that you can recommend that can either be played split-screen on PS3 or multiplayer cross-platform (PC vs PS3). I'm looking for some games that me and my fiance can play with or against each other besides Mortal Kombat, Tekken and Resistance.

Personally I don't like the split screen therefor I opt for fighting games. I normally play MK, Injustice, Dead or Alive.

Maybe do yourself a favor and pick up Journey. Not exactly multiplayer, but I played it between two of us, and was a very enjoyable experience. If you get the collectors edition, it should come with Flower as well. Truly unique games, if you can call it as such.

Borderlands (both)
Army of Two series
Resistance 1 and 3 (although 1 is a bit old now)
Killzone 3
LittleBigPlanet (both)
Rayman Origins and Legends

I'm not a big fan of splitscreen either but since we only have one TV with on PS3, it is pretty much our only option. Are there any cross-platform multiplayer games where I can play PC vs PS3?

AFAIK, no, there are no cross-platform games.

Mainly because PC players will have the advantage.

Portal 2 has cross-platform co-op...

+1

Also DC universe Online

If I am correct here, the only cross platform DCUO has is PS3 - PS4. I do believe PC players get their own servers and console players their own?

@OP

Borderlands
Dead Nation (Very good one with no screen splitting)
Trine 1&2 (Absolutely amazing game, no screen splitting)
Journey
BlazBlue (This is a fighter, but it's the best fighter you will ever play, it's my personal favourite :D)

I would highly recommend you play both Trine games first no matter what you choose, you simply cannot go wrong with them.

I used to try to play Splinter Cell's coop mission with my friend. It was not that fun that i thought it would be..
