Yeah, but in SA, no dad will just stand across the street and watch his son trash his bike. All the bikers I know would have sent the kid to the hospital.
 
I would be pissed, that kid would be on the street and stuck with the bill for damages. Kid needs to learn how to behave and at 19 he has no excuses for over-reacting like that.
 
and this is why I'm a firm believer of corporal punishment.
