Ok this is a double post and I am not to sure how to remove the other one so sorry about that. But I need help with building a PC Gaming rig, I have a rig setup I put together myself I just want to know if it will last me at least 4 years running games at 1080p on max settings or high settings at least, was always a console gamer but PC guys tell me the graphics on a PC is better. With that i also want to know get this PC rig or a PS4?

My budget for everything including screen, mouse, keyboard and speakers is about R21 000, if I can get a set up that's about the same or a good gaming rig for less that will obviously be cool to, help me out guys. Sorry for the very long post<br/>

To run all games and upcoming games for 4 years on ultra at 1080p at 60fps average will not be achieved with that rig.

I'd change the CPU to a K version as you should definitely overclock to achieve maximum performance.

Think of looking at the 3570K or the 4770K.

In terms of GPU, to future proof for 4 years, you'll need something like a 780 or 780Ti - unless you're willing to buy a second 770 down the line and run SLI.

Other than that, the build is good. If you SLI, get a better PSU (something like an 850W) and I'd maybe up the ram to 1866 as newer games such as Battlefield 4 are utilising higher clocked RAM.

You could check out the Dominator 1866 RAM kits.

A PS4 will always give longer lasting as it stays the same till the ps5 comes out and you will never have to worry about upgrading internal things inside. However yes, PC's do have a lot more potential.
As far as pricing if you are outside Cape Town speak to The Joker, if in Cape Town speak to me. Both of us would be able to set you up with something really nice at better pricing than Rebeltech.

Thank you Simon...yeah i can also obviously do alot more with a pc..i am in PE..contacted Joker just waiting for him to get back to me

Personally I think not, however many people here will disagree with me. A SSD improves load times however doesn't improve visuals or longevity which imo isn't a good trade off. I would rather keep the money for an improvement on gpu or cpu

I was thinking of getting an ssd in a couple of months time when i have the cash again maybe December but start off with the majour investments now when i have the budget to do so gpu, motherboard, cpu that kind of thing

Hi Simon. please can i have your email as i would like get pricing from you on building a nice pc

[QUOTE=simon;922328 i am in cape town and would like you to give me options on a very decent gaming pc at better prices than rebeltech .thanks
