So I started my new position at work today and man is it ridiculous.

There's a soda dispenser/fountain like you find in any fast food place. We can have as much of whatever we like. Then the fridges are stocked with craft beer and coke zeros.

We also have our own pool table and xbox (the canteen in our building has 2 pool tables and an xbox as well) and we get brought free food on Thursdays.

We're a team of about 50 guys and they've given us our own dedicated 100MB line whereas the rest of the site (~1 000 people) share another 100MB line.

I officially love my job

Morning guys,

So Mister44 i downloaded the stadium Demo, and after a couple games i managed to get Ranked 496 For S.Africa and 800 odd for Africa.

How does this table work though, does it work off best times for each section of the map or?

Also, our citizenship's have been approved. We are immigrating to New Zealand next year :D:D

Guys are sharp this morning. I did get 2 people at the office when I said SAICA are remarking our exams because the pass rate was too high.

Congrats on going to live among the Hobbits, you All Black, you!

As far as I could figure, the rankings work like this: You have a world ranking, Africa ranking and SA ranking. This is a direct reflection of how many ladder points you have. In your case, this means you have the 496th most ladder points in SA.

You get ladder points by performing well in races. If you beat a lot of people in a race that are ranked higher than you, you get more ladder points. If people that are lower ranked beat you, they get more and you get less. The higher you place in a race, the more ladder points you'll gain. But beware. I've raced on servers with only about 8 players, won the race and scored 0 LP because the other guys were ranked too low.

As you can image, this means that you score lots of points when you start out, but gain less and less per race as you climb the ladder.

Here's some tactics that worked well for me:
Race green light servers until you are comfortable with the basic skills like taking a turn at full-speed without hitting the sides and drifting on both grass and dirt. When you are comfortable with these skills, go search for servers where the average player is ranked higher than you (yellow arrow, pointing up). Also, don't join servers with too few players. The ideal number is ~15 to ~50 players.

My favorite server at the moment is the Gamezone server with the 3PO clan's custom maps. It can get pretty tough, but the rewards are big if you do well. And it's got some spectacular jumps, flips and loops :D

That's a good one.
