Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls

Aye, how i understood it as well. That's why I'm not bothering with that stupid reset button anymore.

So I got my DH to 1030000 dps , my Barb can tank elites on torment 1.... Done 2 Acts of all the quests in D3 in Torment... Maybe time for a new char

Do you perhaps have an accidental extra 0 there? Also I bet that is with the Sharpshooter passive, so turn that off and check again

Just incase you didn't already know:

When people share their DPS stats, it's their profile ones - unless otherwise stated (with buff).

Yes true, that gives a more clear picture. We already know some classes have access to more buffs than others.
IE, my profile shows 891,394.00 dps, sure as a Wizard I can push that to something like 1.5mil but it is hardly what I run with as I want some toughness etc also.
I usually run with around 1.2mil sheet dps, but then that also does not take into account the 35% extra arcane dmg on items and 30% extra dmg vs elites.

It is nice to see big numbers, but at the end of the day it is how you do in the higher Torment levels & the amount of fun you have. Its a game after all :D

I agree, I'm just saying it would be disingenuous of me to come in here and say. "My DPS is 2 million, I can see it" when I'm actually talking about my Seven-sided Strike crits.

Just reckon, if you're going to talk about DPS stats here - use your sheet DPS to start with, then expand on the buffs/elemental dmg etc for kudos.

After all, kudos are the ultimate drop right?

I was bothered a bit by the terrible Anti-Aliasing in the game, so I went searching and came across this guide which improves how the game looks quite a bit. I figures someone else might find it useful.

ATi users can simply force AA through their CP but that won't take effect on Nvidia.

First, download Nvidia Inspector
http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-Inspector-1..9.6.5-download-2612.html

Then, disable the in-game AA.

When you launch Inspector you will see a small menu with information on it. In the middle you will see "Driver version" and next to it a wrench and screwdriver icon(far right side). Click that and a new, bigger menu will open.

On the top left corner you will see profiles. Click in there and start typing Diablo, a drop down menu will appear with the completed name, click on it.

You will then see numerous options, including the option to enable Ambient Occlusion. Explore these a little bit to familiarize yourself, but try not to go too crazy changing values.

The important settings for AA will be the third option down 'Antialiasing compatibility'

Manually enter 0x004412C1 as the flag.

Change Anti-Aliasing Behavior Flags to 'None'

Change Anti-Aliasing Mode Override any application setting

For the AA itself. Antialising - setting 2x MSAA+ I suggest starting low and working your way up.

AntiAliasing - Transparency Multisampling = Enabled

AntiAliasing - Transparency Supersampling = (Supersampling = 1x) Ideally = 2x
Even for a single 580 I would recommend no higher than 2x.

Like the SC2 flag, it works, with less of a hit and what seemed like more efficient usage of SSTrAA. Of course, I've only tested this on the 3D birds on the menu screen, as the game hasn't unlocked yet.

Close the game before applying these setting as they will most likely not change on the fly (I could be wrong, as it does work in a few games.)

The game looks way better this way by eliminating jaggies without sacrificing image quality.

I hope this helped at least one person. If not then I'm just glad I killed 5 minutes :D

With a 560ti you can do 2x Msaa + 1x SSTrAA with around 60% GPU usage on the menu. The 580 was slightly better.

A few other options that are of importance (Also vsync + triple buffering)

Ambient occlusion: Scroll down to common and set Ambient Occlusion setting to performance, quality, or high quality.

And above that

Texture filtering - Quality = set to High Quality

Anisotropic Filtering Mode = user defined/off

Anisotropic Filtering Setting = 16x

If you ever want to revert any changes made in Inspector, click the green nvidia icon to the right of the profile bar. There is an icon of a home, two arrows in a circle(refresh/recycle), and then the green icon to restore to defaults. :)

Man I am getting annoyed with the Mystic, re-rolling items is awesome but after 30 tries @ 450 000 per try I have officially given up xD
