Why do gamers get angry?

I call bs, let them lose about 5 lvl 60 hardcore characters to lag and then lets see why they rage :p
 
This makes me agro when gaming:

* Lag spikes in online gaming
* When I am on a 3+ killstreak and get killed :/

Mostly just applies to online gaming, FPS games.

Offline games doesn't make me angry, at all :)
 
Gamers have been saying that for years, it's not violence in the game but rather lag and things from the game. The only time I get angry is when I'm stuck somewhere or with lag.
 
Yeah online games are the real culprit, plus for me personally I think that's quite an accurate statement. If I'm on a kill streak etc. and I die I get angry at myself more than the person that killed me. My fault for not paying attention or trying to do too much with too little health etc.

Lag, disconnects and all the usual crappy net stuff also drive me up the wall.

Conversely single player games tend to relax me. Unless they feature game breaking bugs.
 
They should let these people play some Dota, have their connection dropped for 15 minutes to get put into the low priority pool and play 6 games in a row with the players in that pool.

I don't think anyone of them will be saying "I feel friendly" after that.
 
What gets me is:
- Snipers
- Hearing someone try automatic fire at me with a DMR
- Chopper dropping snipers
- snipers
 
Here's what makes my blood boil when gaming:

-Russians. The people, not the great stuff that comes with slap chips.
-Cheap-ass boss fights like the new Mortal Kombat's Shao Kahn.
-Annoying bugs ala BF4 that ruin the gameplay experience completely.
-Russians.

Lag, stupid people, getting a low orbit docking without MechJeb wrong in KSP, not being able to finish even one lap in Trachmania multiplayer before the timer runs out

Haha! Ja, after that they will probably conclude, with extensive research, that it's not only white people that play games.

How about, in KSP, building a 5 phase rocket, only to find that your sequencing is wrong when you're in outer space and you lose all your fuel tanks because of your last sequence was put in the second slot by accident. :P

Oh wait, that caused epic lulz :D

-People that take the game too seriously.
-Lag.
-Game ruiners (at which point I just leave).
-People that don't play with the team.
-My mom when she gets pissed at me because she doesn't understand that I can't pause the game.
-Noobtubers.

I really don't get angry because when the things listed happens I just leave or stfu and play/mess around.

Ok 2 points that i find funny cause im that person, camping and noobtube, i remember playing cod days for the first time and i shot a noob tube instant kick, it took me 3 weeks to figure out what a noobtube was xD

And i think every gamer gets that from his mom, easy way of explaining it to her, "you cant pause one of those pinball machines at an arcade can you? , same thing"

I always find that odd, I get being annoyed with noobtube abuse when I was into CoD I used to get annoyed at it too. However the reason that the noobtube exists is to get actual newbs into the game. It's force multiplier for them that gives them a vague chance of actually killing someone who's been playing every CoD since the series inception. Kind of like a gateway gun, till they get comfortable with way the game works and their own skill level and eventually move on.
