Nvidia launches new DX11.1 Drivers...They are amazing!!!

Thread Killer MKII
So I got my hands on these new drivers yesterday and instantly noticed a huge improvement in performance in games like BF4 and Tomb Raider. So did a little bit of testing and noticed my avg fps in BF4 went up by a crazy 14 fps :wtf: That is pretty incredible to be honest.

At the moment they are in Beta but I've tested them and didn't find any issues to report so its completely stable.

So is this driver only for GTX 7xx cards, or will my 660 Ti also benefit from it?

It'll def work for your 660Ti, not quite sure on performance gains there but I know guys running GTX670's and GTX680's are seeing improvements as well, so go grab it bud.

Thanks dude, will grab it tonight and see how it performs.

Funny though how the Nvidia sites shows the performance of both DirectX and Mantle, and how much better Mantle actually performs...just something interesting I saw from the post you linked.

Yeah Nvidia did have to respond because Mantle is gaining incredible support from developers and the performance increase was noticeable. Nvidia responded beautifully though.

All this competition is good for us at the end of the day :D

Is this Windows 8 specific, or will Windows 7 users also benefit from this? I'm definitely grabbing this driver. Although, a certain person *cough, JOKER, cough* told me to avoid beta drivers with my card :D

Yeah I'm using Windows 7 and had noticeable improvements.

Yeah lol but give them a go bud, my ti is running fine so I am sure yours will be as well.

Let's be honest, when you're running a 780ti GHz edition card, you don't "need" 12 extra FPS :D:D:D

lmao this is true xD I would actually want to see the performance gain on your card, think it'll be even better than 12-14 fps. I reckon more in the region of 20 fps avg.

awesome. The last nvidia update started making my gpu or whatever freeze. constantly.
Had to roll it back eventually and never tried again.

I installed the drivers, they seem to run pretty well. But like I said earlier, it really depends on what setup you're running. For me, I honestly don't notice the addition of 3 or 4 extra fps because my games are running great already. That said, I'll stick with these until the WHQL version comes out.

What I like about these drivers is that it improved the minimum FPS for people.

If your FPS is high already but games bring some big FPS drops like levolution in BF4, these will really help out.

Went from a LowFPS of 74 to a LowFPS of 86 in BF4 - This is all the proof I needed. It really helps to have a 4770K though.

How are you guys measuring BF4 performance? Do you use a 3rd party app?

You can either use Fraps or you can use the in-game FPS. While in-game, bring up the console (~) and type PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 1.

It's crucial that you put the space before 1 as this means the value is true and will show your FPS in the top right corner in green. Typing PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 0 means the value is false and removes the FPS counter.
