What SA gamers drink

What do you add to it? Red Wine, Brandy or Whiskey?

I drink tea.

I drink tea with a dash of vodka :p only once

I tend to drink vodka with my friend once in a while also drink jack daniels is such an awesome drink :D

But generally I don't drink.

Also beer is disgusting and I can't stand the taste of it.

R3000+ on booze a month :wtf:

Right, who was it?

Lol, you'd be surprised how much gets racked up when you go out a couple of weekends a night. And buying beer during the week. And occasionally buying some craft beer..mmm. Which reminds me...

Nice headline James. A really nice way to describe the members of MyGaming. Not!

You can count me out of any future surveys of this nature if this is the way you are going to describe those completing the survey.

Lighten up? It's meant to be fun.

Not sure what you're referring to, but I'm sure that happens on any forum that has more than one member.

Basically calling all South African gamers alcoholics, in a round about way, should not offend anyone and they should rather "lighten up" about it, but question any other aspect of their lifestyle and be crucified.

Double standard.

Where the hell did the article ever call South African gamers "alcoholics?"

You do realise that most people in the big wide world actually drink alcohol, right? Does that make most people in the world alcoholics? You're inferring a lot from very little.

I'm in the 30.11% that don't touch the stuff. That's surprisingly high actually. :wtf:

You and me both.

Pretty surprised as well. I figured the teetotallers would be significantly fewer.

Please read my comment again. Also, we all infer what we will, this being done numerous times when offense is taken as is made obvious daily on this forum.

So yes, listing me as a "boozer", since a "Boozer does boozing", which is defined as a person who consumes a lot of alcohol is insulting to me and McT even. Only I don't make a scene about it, because I don't need to b!tch like certain members need to all the time.

However, I will happily point out the obvious double standards imposed by the forum veterans.

Do you have a link to this? I didn't see that anywhere. :wtf:

Purposefully taking it out of context does you only shame... Read my response to Lycanthrope above please.

Seriously... what the potato-supping fuck?

Do you have some sort of inferiority complex or are you just the type of person who likes to find problems where none exist?

I'm also tremendously curious about these "double standards imposed by the forum veterans." Could I get an example, please?

The header claims that South Africans are a "boozy" bunch. Aren't they? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_alcohol_consumption They don't seem to be far from the top of the list, if you want facts at your disposal.

Nowhere did the survey investigate the quantities of alcohol consumed either.

With all the evidence at your disposal, any logical person would conclude that the header "South Africans are a boozy bunch" is purely hyperbolic and done for comedic effect.

That someone would be determined to take some sort of personal offence at this speaks volumes about themselves and their personal guilt regarding their own alcohol consumption.

I don't think most people took it that way. To me the term "boozy bunch" implies that South African gamers drink quite a lot, and I don't see anyone disputing that.

What he said.

I really like Heineken though once in a while I'll treat myself to Stella Artois. It's a shame that it's so expensive because it's delicious!

And nah even though McT is a great guy I got to agree with James, the article heading is easily seen as intentionally humorous.

Calm your tits, madam ;)

The retort in some responses would indicate otherwise, so your evidence seems very biased.

That is a brave and idiotic assumption to make of anything.
