I do remember that. The person who posted it was banned for advertising on the forum, which is against the rules.
Correction: I went back and looked and I didn't ban the person because they stopped after the warning.
Bottom line, joining the forum to advertise your gaming event with the promise of prizes is against the rules. Part of my job is to protect the user base from these types. Before you know it, they are charging an entrance fee and marketing something.
Any other examples?

You're previous post was directed at me having a problem in a way that I apparently do have a problem. Followed by whimsical (capricious, not cute) words of distraught disappointment.
Then you ask why I'm on the defense?
Anyways, that thread about SA boozing is me defending McT's opinion, which I am not doing in favour of McT or with the intention to gain favour from anyone. I do it because everyone snapped at him for taking offence, which is petty for an "understanding" forum. Mostly everyone there attacked me like bigots and even here, like that Mephisto bigot - he must hate himself. I should give him a hug.*Hugz* @ you Mephisto Bro! It might just be him trying to the break the ice, but yes he did stop. What would have been better practice would have been to support his thread and tell him how it could go wrong - since being new would warrant him being a little misinformed.
Pulling out the Ban Hammer as the primary enforcer of the forum is childish and will easily scare any new member away in disgust not fear.
