The Elder Scrolls Online

Did my first respec today, only cost me 7k gold at level 33. I wanted to get rid of all the points I spent experimenting with stamina based damage, sadly, none of them worked for me. Still the best and most efficient damage for me is magicka. Now I got 10 points with nowhere for them to go ;-P

Passives all the way i suppose. I assume you got the 2 guild passives for Intimidation and Persuasion? I've found them quite useful in quests.

Been a while since I looked in this thread.

I became a vampire the other night:

Fear me. Rawr.

Fear someone lighting up a pipe ;-P Your fire resists are very low now, from what I hear.

I like the role-playing aspect, so my care-o-meter is at an all-time low :p

I'm loving Elder Scrolls Online. It has its hiccups but it's everything I want from an MMO

Now if only they'd move the damn EU server to actual frikkin' Europe. I'm getting tired of ZA latency (150ms) :D

/runs for a nearby hill, away from the fire-hurlers!

arghhh, they said they would bring up the EU servers just after launch.. how long do we still need to wait.

That's pretty much how I feel. It's the MMO I've always wanted, but that I never knew I wanted. It's scratching a roleplaying itch that not even GW2 could properly scratch for me.

I just wish they would sort out the goldsellers and bots camping boss spawns. I've been playing less than a week and I've got 120 names on my ignore list, all goldsellers. :(

Oh yeah, for those of you who didn't preorder, I would highly suggest buying an Explorer pack key while they're still available. From the sounds of it the Explorer pack bonuses are never coming back and once the keys are all used up, it's gone for good. It allows you to play any race in any faction, so it might be well worth investing while you still have the chance. I prefer to keep my characters lore-friendly, but it's nice to have the option if I want it.

I got a key for $ off G2Play. They sent it to me within a few minutes of buying.

150ms? Try 250-300ms. I dont even bother trying to block or play a melee character anymore, I just heavily invest in +health gear. I know I will not be able to block or even dodge in time.

In dungeons I just keep moving around hoping to accidentally get out of the red stuff on the floor in time.

Patch today along with some news of a fix they still working on that makes me very happy:

Dungeon Treasure Chests – Based on feedback, we are changing treasure chests in instanced dungeons so that everyone gets a piece of loot regardless of who opens the chest. This change is currently being implemented and tested internally and will be released in a future patch as soon as it’s ready. Watch the patch notes for the news.

They sort of do, as long as you tag the boss that drops you have a chance for decent loot. I do agree though there needs to be more incentive.

Only incentive to me is to get a little xp and my fighter's guild up, but then that is only once per anchor.

The cultists and boss both drop better than average loot, it's just hellishly random. Same for the world bosses. Then ofc the fighters guild, but at the same time you gain XP whenever you fight undead or daedra with them so technically whenever you do the anchor you get xp with them.

I find it's much better to get the smaller daedric rifts rather than an anchor since then you net everything for yourself. It would be nice if a chest spawned with loot like in GW2.

It's getting harder and harder to get hits in on bosses with all the goldseller's bots camping them. I was in a public dungeon yesterday where about 20 bots were camping a boss, all with names like 'asdsdf' and 'ywgww'. There were even bots from enemy factions in there. The boss goes down in about two seconds and you absolutely have to do an instant attack and then hope for the best.

The goldsellers are really ruining the experience for me at the moment.

It's weird I have mixed feeling about public dungeons. I like them in theory and in practice they're not bad, but they definitely don't feel epic. I find out we tend to zerg them and while they tend to be aesthetically pretty and themed we don't really "take it in" because we're gunning it to out DPS players. We don't get to "absorb" the dungeon so to speak.

Also they boss camping in general is crazy, not just from bots. We fought a spider yesterday where there were 10+ players just swinging wildly in the air to hit it when it spawned. I use a placed lightning AoE to get hits in, but still it's a bit of a mission.
