18 age restriction for The Sims 4

Wow...

I'm sure the entire country's strictly heterosexual children would be severely emotionally impacted should they see a simulation of what the world might be like with all of its gay/straight occupants actually co-existing in harmony. The horror! :rolleyes:

Out of all things russia is doing this one is the least thing to worry about.(not saying its good or anything)

For one gay people are being arrested in russia and they encourage violence against gays.

Besides a manly man like putin doesn't play such sissy games :p

If Russia handles this like South Africa does, that 18+ rating won't be enforced anywhere and it will probably help sales a bit in the 14-16 y/o demographic.

The reason behind it is worrying however, and doesn't fill one with confidence that Russia's record on human rights will be improving anytime soon.

Russia is a very hard place. I personally think their people are going to get even more suppressed in time. I personally think putin wants the old soviet empire back in place. I mean thats what he is doing now grabbing ex soviet countries.

Technically yes, but is anything like this really enforced in SA? And its not like they gona get locked up... They will just get a fine...

Yeah that's true. Well I'm not going to complain, if this were enforced I'd have missed out on some awesome PS1/PS2 titles back in the day :p.

I think most kines will not allow somebody obviously underage into a restricted movie. A few video stores may refuse a dvd to an underage kid even, but when it comes to games... Let's just say I have never heard of somebody that got turned away at a till because of an age restriction on a game.

Once when we where 14 my two friends and I wanted to rent the spawn animated series and the woman thought we asked for porn and she whipped out a whole cataloge for their porn movies :p my friend casually browsed through the catalogue :p
 
Yeah I was renting porn when I was 14(and I looked 12 at the time), with no issues. Also buying GTA and all that. The enforcer was my mom not the retailers

They struggled to enforce speed limits and all sorts of other petty crimes, so as you say it isn't likely that it would get much attention locally. In Russia, however, Ogre Putin is a different animal altogether. I wouldn't scrum with him unnecessarily.
