Roku or Apple TV

So I've been tasked with finding a media player that can play Netflix for friends that I hooked up with Netflix this last weekend.

From what I can tell, the best options are the Roku 3 or Apple TV. I see havetohave.co.za will import a Roku for R1870 http://www.have2have.co.za/product/Roku-3-Streaming-Player/128848, and I can get hold of an Apple TV for around R1227. I don't think they have much else Applish aside from one iPhone, and I don't think they have computers around the house, so integration with iTunes etc is probably not a big issue.

Does anyone have any opinion on what's the better option, or something else that might be better?

Also, would NTSC vs PAL be a problem seeing that the Roku would be imported from USA? I'm also worried about if they include a 240V power adapter.

Iv got a mate who has gone apple befok around his house, and the apple tv setup with everything works like a dream... Speakers in every room, that can be told when to play what etc... Very expensive setup though...

How did you set up their netflix now? on a PC? Do they want the media player basically as a remote for the netflix?

No playstation or X box?

Iv also been looking into it, My brother in law is trying to set it up, he sent me this link, may help...

Ya Apple stuff works really well if you have lots of other Apple stuff. Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

I've set them up on a ps3 in front but they now want to be able to watch in the room as well, so now they need a second Netflix compatible device.
