Yup at least you're playing in Europe next season!

ironically, thats exactly why Pool will struggle in the league. They had it all their way in the Premiership this season, as they didnt have any other commitments. next season will be much tougher.

Yeah, they had free reign of the league this season and were still unable to win. UEFA tends to be very taxing on teams and I don't know of they have the squad depth to sustain both competitions.

i'm hoping that United benefit next season in the same way. not being involved in Europe means we can focus on the league

Even if ManU had no UEFA this season the result would have been the same. That team's problems stem from lack of a powerful successor to Ferguson; and lack of squad depth and adaptability. Another major thing is that ManU have lost the psychological edge that Ferguson gave them. Teams used to face United having accepted that a loss is the likeliest outcome due to fantastic tactics and leadership. Now teams actually asses the player's abilities and say "wait a second! these guys aint so tough". I think it will be a while yet before Man U can truly be considered a title contender again.

At least this season's end isnt as bad as they usually are, got the world cup in just under a month to keep us busy.

Keen to see how Belgium does

Yeah, I am really excited about Belgium's performance considering the stars their players have provided to the leagues.

They have to be tipped as the Dark Horses for the tournament. They will definately make it to the knockouts, when you consider how weak their group is :)

That is indeed true. Looking forward to Lukkaku actually being allowde to play with Hazard :D.

Speaking of the world cup. Thoughts on the victor?

Oh, and thoughts on the UEFA winner?

(Still winning in the UEFA fantasy league.1st in MyG pool. 5th in Chelsea pool and 145th Globally :D)

i am tipping Brazil for WC and Real Madrid for CL.

I also reckon Brazil for world cup. But I think It will be Atleti who take UEFA. Every team that beats Barcelona in UEFA ends up winning it so why stop now :p. Also as long as they don't lose to Barca on Saturday then they will take La Liga

I missed picks a few weeks so not bothered, too busy with nascar f1 ipl and rugby

Excuses Excuses :p :p

i think Atletico will beat Barca and win La Liga, but Real will beat them in the CL Final

Agreed, and Brazil/Uruguay for the WC, really don't see a European team taking it in the South American conditions although i would love Germany to do some magic.

exactly, i reckon the conditions and climate will favour the South American teams. Argentina also in the running. Don't think Uruguay have what it takes to go all teh way. They have a couple stars in their team, but not up to the same level as Brazil and Argentina

Im a Man U supporter and A Real Madrid supporter

Man U have a few years before they come to the top again, Sir Alex leaving made the team uneasy.

NOW REAL MADRID, Lets hope they with The CL, they could have won the or be in the running for the LL cup but went and lost and drew to bottom teams and wasted there extra game advantage.

It was sooo funny to see all these wana be Liver pool supporters cry and have there dreams crushed, serves them right for all of a sudden been supporters.

Least the cup stayed in manchester

Yeah was at least relieved that Liverpool losing out at the end.

One of the biggest highlights of the season for me was the Liverpool - Chelsea match where the title literally "slipped" from Liverpools hands, and the only time I could have a laugh infront of my friend this season.

Snare i actually checked i'm only like 50 points behind you not to bad for someone that missed most of the rounds :p

One word....HAX!! :p

I think that Atleti's ability to control the pace of a game is greater than Real's ability to exploit weaknesses at the back. Real has also had a few major lapses in defensive judgement this season that Gabi and Koke can exploit(looking at you Sergio Ramos :p). It will also be a big issue to try get past Courtois in the posts. However if they do not shut down Bale and Isco/Modric then a single mistake will be all that is required for an explosive counterattack. I predict a final score of 2 - 1 in favour of Atleti but it shall be a fantastic game regardless of score.

I'm a Chelsea supporter and that was probably the funniest moment of the entire season. No man on earth was sadder than Steven Gerrard at the end of final Matchday :D

Even though I'm a Man.U supporter I feel that Liverpool deserved the title through their exceptional football they've played this season but then again it just goes to show how one tiny lapse of concentration can go a long way.
