What movie did you last watch thread.

My movies backlog is almost as long as my gaming backlog...
I've watched Jack the Giant Slayer recently. So-So. Not a brilliant movie, but you can see that they tried. Wasn't terrible though.

Jack the Giant Slayer. A different take on Jack & the Beanstalk. Decent enough me thinks. Although I enjoyed the movie, I wouldn't score it much more than 6/10. With the watch if you enjoy fantasy.

A lot of the reviews criticized the animation, and it wasn't perfect, but I thought it was actually pretty amazing - especially the hair rendering. I don't think I've seen such good CG hair before. I wish I could say the same about the rest of the film though "whistling:

Wait, I'm a little confused... When did this movie get released (ie how come I didn't know about this) and secondly doesn't Jane have brown hair, or is that someone else on the poster?

It had a limited cinema release in February I think and is now on bluray. And yes that's Jane. She's now American. They've made some big changes to the story (although I've only seen the Disney film before this so don't really know if it's actually based on the book, but you can't help but compare it to the incredible Disney film).

I think it's time to bring back this thread from the depths of the forum

Over the weekend I watched 3 movies:

The Lego Movie: Absolutely love this movie so much. It's a really fun, comical movie to watch, and it's not just for kids, but for the young at heart as well

Need For Speed: Despite the cringe-worthy dialog, I enjoyed it, for some unknown reason. It's a movie you watch if you just want to switch off you brain for an hour and a half.

A Million Ways To Die In The West: I laughed so much during this movie. Such a funny film. But as you can imagine from a Seth MacFarlane movie, lots of crudeness, but funny nonetheless.

X-men: Days of future past: 8/10, very good movie! a bit boring at start but got addicted to it later.
Bad neighbors: 6/10, was okay, had a few funny moments but I was distracted while watching this.
Divergent: 9/10 Brilliant movie!! Writen good, and storyline plays well. Will definitely recommend this if you have not watched it already!

Pitch Perfect - Actually enjoyed myself with it

Batman - arkham knight, loosely based on the Rocksteady AA Games, very adult orientated, good

Captain Phillips, it was okish imo

Also watched Need for Speed over the weekend... I fell asleep in the middle... Not sure if this was just me that was tired, but it seemed like a decent movie... I will say this though... the first like 30 - 45 mins is all back story, for the actual story, that only starts like halfway through the movie...

Then also watched ,The Possession of Michael King, The mrs and her best friend wanted to watch something scary and this was all I could get hold of at short notice... read this was all that was available on Popcorn Time on sunday night in the "scary movie" genre

Its crap...

I saw Gaurdians of the Galaxy, I was not overly excited by it.

*Hisssssss* I LOVED that movie! I used to have a friend who hated it. Used to.

I actually watched quite a few movies this weekend: Easy A, The Conjuring, Mean Girls. You know. All the horrors. :D
